the same thing happened with the invention of cameras, most artworks aimed for realism and maybe played with it a bit, but after cameras became a thing, artists had to change how and what they capture

Me personally when I make a sketch or smth and I see AI make it in a second, I just dont really care, because Ai art just isnt art is the first place, comparing yourself with robots who get all their skills from stealing other artworks just doesnt count as art in the first place imo

My only problem is that I can't draw consistently. Like every day, spend a specific time just for drawing. BTW, your art is awesome ❤

AI also has to smoothen out contrast, so if you feed it a really dark picture it'll make one with extreme highlights because it wants to average a grey. Overall this doesnt represent how light works as the transition is much less gradual irl, so if you want to really distinguish yourself add little pieces of physics to it like that. Also no need to say but your design way better than ai could manage.

Ir tour plan is avoid AI “adding humanity”…. I have bad News for you 😂 Thats absolute replicable. Just work with AI, and be really a creative person, not an avoider.

I heard AI Art and AI in total will go dumb of the overflowing Information. Texts will be more and more blurry and I tried AI to find some Inspiration in my Art. But it seems that more and more Details get fucked up. Blurry eyes, more Fingers, to much bend legs and Arms, unpoportioned, and more. AI wont be the solution in the end in making of making whole artpieces. It will only be a glow up or fixing Tool.

I always struggle when coloring comics. I want to make every page this detailed painting and can never just use flats, even though I want to. I keep thinking "I could do more" until I've spent 10 hours on a single panel.

I think there is a point where doing too many layers is a waste but if your work is personal and you arent making money absolutely 0 reason to stress over time it takes to draw. Of course the more you draw the better you will get along with studying the point it gets to wasting time is if you spend more than an hour trying to fix something yourself at that point seek out feedback or guidance adjust it and move on personal art has no time limit only paid work, this also goes for socials if you are not making any money off your art and are stressing over it you are wasting your energy on trying to meet a schedule that you cant keep up with. You naturally get faster at any skill the more you do it and will be able to cut out time over time to meet those time crunches and schedules

Ai Art is typically easy to spot. If it looks too good, with little to no sketchy lines, its likely ai (not a good description but AI art is usually noticeable enough) Art that has imperfect lines or a loose approach I think standsout more since AI (at least right now) usually makes everything as perfect as possible. Making art more loose and characterized I think standsaway from AI, at least until they program them to ruin this too Good approach on the story aspect! I really like that, AI cant tell or think up stories(yet), and I doubt the bums requesting the art have the skill to add it themselves, so good work!!!

I totally get where you're coming from. Ai partially changed my creative process stylistically. I now draw with very sharp defined shapes and to be perfectly honest I believe I'm the happiest I've ever been looking at my art now Vs before.

I feel the same given I render a lot with my art, now I don't feel as obligated to be as perfect with rendering and can take liberties with linework and painting.
