Of all the stories about the events leading up to the war, this one really put the hook in me. You couldn’t dream up better fiction.

It’s debated but you can argue the massive shift of soldiers to the west for the battle of Moscow makes this spy the most influential ever.

I am sure the Soviets knew about Pearl Harbour. The Chinese Secret Service knew since the Japanese employed Chinese workers at the Naval Dockyard. "Magic", the name for the breaking of Japanese Codes by the US in 1928. They had to know. Suited Roosevelt in my opinion. Still truth takes 81 years and still stymied by politics! Stalin could easily have exchanged Sorge for a Japanese but Stalin refused and he died. Stalin liked to kill the past all the Spy's were under huge danger since it suited Stalin not to kill agents. But they were well aware of his murder of Lenin's Bolsheviks. Perhaps it is not at all fancifull that Stalin was Hitlers greatest agent!

China or Chinese nation is very complicated, it includes not only the Han Chinese but many other ethnic groups, which a few of them over the period of the last 1000+ years, ruled over the China empire and ruled over the Han Chinese as well.

China may be powerful militarily and economically than India. But still China fear India mainly because of 3 reasons 1st) india can shutdown all Chinese cargo ships and oil tanks from andaman Island in the Indian ocean which is few kilometers from Malacca Strait. 2) India is a nuclear armed country with nuclear submarines( Nuclear triad) 3) India can play Dalai Lama insurgency card in tibet as buddhism started in india

Fact check: Russia refused to increase cuts but agreed to extend the then existing cut which the Saudis rejected outright insisting that Russia must cut more.
