Not quite. Robert Wyatt 'is' the greatest drummer of all time. His musical vision leads rather than follows. All others follow.

Hello, I’m making a student short documentary on the Canterbury Scene and was curious if I could have permissions to use this footage within it? If you can’t help with that I’d greatly appreciate any lead on who to get permissions from please?
@BassLudeman29 күн бұрын
@@PoweredByFilm I do not own any permissions associated with this recording. Going on sort of a fair use kind of idea lol. I believe I got this either from the dimeadozen tracker (a community upload sort of site for unreleased recordings) or in a trade. Sorry I can't help more; it was years and years ago that I was obsessively seeking this stuff out. I would think some sort of official release would be forthcoming through Cuneiform since the source is a full concert, but I've never heard of one being in the works. In which case ownership would lie with the studio that recorded it or possibly some sort of national broadcasting archive like the French have. I basically have no clue how stuff like this makes it into the hands of people like me 😅 Also worth mentioning is that there is now a superior upload elsewhere on KZbin, with the full set and in color (might just be colorized though)

It was so obvious why Hugh and Mike kicked Robert out of the band ; not because of his drumming but because of his awful singing

Chciałem coś powiedzieć, ale kapitan Nemo powstrzymał mnie gestem i podniósł kawałek kredowego kamienia, podszedł do czarnej bazaltowej skały i zakreślił słowo : Atlantyda 🎇

Partly psych, partly prog, and partly an attempt to play jazz by guys who didn't quite know how to - but who managed to create something else, something new in the process of trying. And almost punk in its frantic scraggliness.
