I have my 1977 F-250 trans out for cleaning and ATF change. I found half of a plastic orange trust washer in the pan. How could it get out of the drum into the pan. The trans was working but sluggish going into drive.
@dazeofgloryshopworks58064 сағат бұрын
Does the thrust washer look melted at all? It would have to break and then with the right amount of slack in the gear train, it can worm its way into the pan eventually. Not unheard of. Sadly I'd tear the trans apart and replace it.
@MichaelWilliams-vf6hx4 сағат бұрын
@@dazeofgloryshopworks5806 After closer observation, it is larger and brownish orange color and 4" outside /3" inside diaameter, 1/8 " thick,. No melting but also found a 1/2 inch long same material and radius with some teeth on it.
