1. It would be mashed up and land in his smokebox where it would be imbued with coal ash and hot steam, turning it soggy and sooty. 2. No, the further weight from the water against his frames would sort of feel like filling your mouth with water, the swallowing part comes from the water entering his boiler more liberally as the fireman can be a bit more liberal with the injectors. The water is pumped into his tanks by the tower. 3. They seem to be biological since we see engines with bloodshot eyes, growing facial hair, and getting stuffed noses. Yes, they do have at least a rudimentay circulatory system, although it's possible the blood acts more like hydraulics. 4. Depends on who you ask. This one probably is truly unanswerable though. Neither Wilbert nor Chris ever said. Though if you take Wilbert's word and completely ignore all of his actual books, engines off Sodor don't have faces. 5. Smokebox doors. 6. They aren't, e.g. Edwards, Hodges, and some Spong illustrations all have generally white skin-colored faces (except the diesels and rolling stock). 7. Those characters don't have smokebox doors. The faces are meshed into the smokebox doors, too. 8. Decision of the TVS long after it's gone off in its own direction basing things off the steam engines. I think I remember seeing them considering redoing Annie and Clarabel in the same way so it wasn't necessarily meant to be unique to her. Old Slow Coach is the other exception I can think of and I don't have an answer for that. 9. You can still stand on it if you had a reason to. 10. No. You can't see through the mouth, so there's some sort of physical barrier. This isn't inherent to their biology, but unlike steam locomotives where whatever gets in the engine's mouth just ends up either on the floor of the smokebox to be swept out later, the railways don't want people to get their hands caught in the rolling stock's teeth, or for product to be lost every time a truck opens its mouth to snark off, so barriers get built. Diesels have meshes so that they can still intake air if they have an air intake on what would be the nose. 11. Nothing. It's 3 inches of wood, the next 18 inches of mouth, then the lips. 12. No, but it might spill out of the top. 13. The drivers of the shunting engines are paid by the hour. 14. They probably have moreso alliances but there might be the rare actual friendship for stuff like private trucks that would spend all their time together. They might even make friends with the engines if their owners also have engines (I'm thinking FQC, although I guess the Skarloey also works). 15. S. C. Ruffey 16. Some people theorize that the amount of love poured into a motorized object is what makes it come to life. I imagine Wilbert always just thought of it as a more literal extension of self-moving things that have a sort of personality of their own. 17. Doesn't he slide off them? That's a pretty normal boat thing. 18. 19. Sometimes dukes and the like go by the name of the place they're the duchy of, so Boxford could be their last name. 20. Railtours. They get clearance and presumably plan their trips. 21. They may have renovated the shed at Arlesdale End which used to be used by Toby to be a somewhat more robust brick house; this is the closest shed I could find. Or he might stay at Wellsworth or a previously unseen shed at Maron. 22. Uh... 19... 60... 6? With time travel? 23. Bulgy 24. They were built in Boston? Sure, they would have been built in New York in real life, but they're also not destroying the British loading gauge, even if the NWR was a later railway with the power of hindsight. 25. Sodor before he went back with Kenji, but Tug knows this now. 26. Employees. Ladders. 27. A dude poking his head out of the side, not pictured for conservation of detail. 28. Regarding 22., 1966 but with self-driving cars. 28. Could be that the Sodor accent is just naturally somewhat similar to Welsh, on top of a Welsh diaspora at Tidmouth or Crovan's Gate.

It's been a while, but I have some disagreements with your answers. 1. Thomas wouldn't be able to "eat" a cheeseburger. Yes he could chew it, but behind the engines' mouths lies nothing, just a wall. So all that food would essentially just be in the engine's mouth and they'd likely spit it out. 2. Thomas also wouldn't be able to drink from a water tower because again, his mouth doesn't have a throat or cavity in which the water can travel through. Probably a good thing since all that excess water would flood his inner components. 3. I reckon the faces are made out of a durable material, not flesh. If it were like human flesh, it'd definitely show signs of aging and decay. If you did cut Thomas' face, it'd cause a facial deformity but no blood would spill out. 4. As for how the faces get there, if we apply TATMR logic, it appears cuz of magic. In the show, it appears because the designers created it. 5. The engines get their smokeboxes cleaned out by simple puffing out the soot through their funnels. 6. This is false. Not every engine on Sodor has a grey face. The RWS books had some different colors like D199 having a yellow face. 7. Some characters probably have their faces mashed as a result of the designers. 8. For this one, I don't have a solid answer other than it's part of the designer's choice. 9. Henrietta's redundant platform is a result of poor design by her manufacturers. 10. No, an individual wouldn't be able to go through a carriage's mouth since like the engines, their mouths lead to nowhere but a wall. 11. If a truck sneezed, sand wouldn't pour out because their faces are stuck onto those planks of wood. 12. I guess Sodor has an efficient organizing system, although in the RWS, there are some vans that face backwards. 13. Some trucks do make friends, while others don't. 14. Yes, e.g. SC Ruffey, Fred Pelham. 15. It's mainly the designer's choice of making the vehicle alive or not. Also that Big Mickey part really aged poorly. 16. As mentioned previously, it's up to the designer to give the vehicles faces. Though, I have a dark theory that some vehicles were once alive, but were "scrapped" and then repurposed without the faces. 17. Skiff's wheels simply fall off into the ocean. 18. The show never gave the Duke or Duchess' real names so I guess we'll never know. 19. The Duke and Duchess obviously have to inform Sir Topham Hatt, otherwise Spencer could end up in an accident with another engine. 20. I guess Spencer has a spare shed near the summer house. 21. The show likely takes place in or close to the 1960s, given that no modern technology is ever seen or mentioned. 22. Obviously that's not true. There are other buses on Sodor like Bulgy for instance. 23.Hiro most likely resides on the mainland given that we see him frequently on Sodor from time to time. 24. His operator who climbs up the ladder to get inside him. 25. I have a theory that some vehicles on Sodor are operated remotely and not by humans. Hence why you never see any operators in Marion or Kevin.

@@armorpro573 It would be nice if you would have used the same numbers as what you're referring to for easier reference. I can't really tell on some if you're reiterating what I said or making counterexamples. 2. Point to where in my comment I said anything that implied it goes in his mouth. I said it would go in his tanks, but that would *feel* like having a full mouth, just elsewhere. Then when it goes into his boiler, it would feel like slowly swallowing some of it. 3. If the faces aren't biological and filled with blood, why do they go red when overworked in the same way that things with blood do? It's not heat, their internal temperatures are pretty consistently fire temperature. As for aging, that assumes engines age the same way humans do. We know they *can* age, even if artificially, thanks to Iron Duke. 4. I can't bring myself not to like Magic Railroad, but it's even less canon than the already completely non-canon TV show. I will however accept it as being significantly more canon than anything spewed forth by Victor Tanzig. 5. Henry and the Express (1993), Out of Puff: "The fireman cleared away more ashes, but when he tried to close Henry's smokebox door, it did not make the airtight fit that it should have done." Plus, nothing in any source material ever implies this, they don't have black smoke... maybe ever besides when it's relevant to the story as an aberration, like in Henry's Sneeze. 6. I'll admit I worded this poorly, but one, check out how actually white the faces in the illustrations for Tenders for Henry are, and two, when I said "white skin-colored", I meant "the color of white people's skin, more or less". I also specifically said "besides the diesels and rolling stock", so... you had no point I didn't already make here to begin with. 16. I assume it's not a literal scrapping if the engine still exists physically to be put back into service. 21. I feel like I remember there being some. 22. You mean literally the example I named as the entirety of my point? 25. Yep. mentioned that.

@@BringMayFlowers Forgot to mention, I was rewatching this video and answering all the questions by Unlucky himself. Now fair, take it with a grain of salt because I'm not 100% familiar with the Thomas and Friends lore, but this is what I believe are the reasonable explanations. Now if I'm wrong on the other points, feel free to correct

@@armorpro573 I did respond to a few that weren't just "no opinion" or regarding the insides of their mouths, which is mostly just differences of opinions.
@armorpro573Ай бұрын
@@BringMayFlowers Regarding your points, I have a few things to state: 2. Regarding your explanation on the water drinking part, you mentioned in the RWS that engines like Henry have their faces opened up to allow the crew to clear out soot. If that's the case, I feel that having the inside of the mouths exposed would cause problems for the engine such as them choking under that soot building up. That's partially why I said there's nothing but a wall behind their mouths. 3. I always theorized that Percy had an influx of steam going up to his face, thus why his cheeks seemed to be blushing. Obviously no one knows the biological anatomy of these trains, but given that most of the internal body is extremely hot, I imagine it'd be near impossible to circulate blood safely without potentially killing the user. (LOL having Shed 17 flashbacks) As for aging, I'm guessing it must work differently for each engine type as Edward and Stephen are both really old engines and yet they look relatively young. 4. I know that TATMR isn't canon. I'm just bringing that up as a separate case to why the trains have faces. 6. I wasn't addressing your comment, but rather Tug's video on why the engines' faces grey of all colors. Because I knew that some trains like D199 have different colored faces for some reason. Now in terms of the TV series, the producers probably had most of the faces the same color so it'd not look as weird to the audience. Idk that's my take 16. As I stated, it's just a theory. I wondered the same thing when I watched the show ages ago. Like how come some trucks/rolling stock have faces but not all the others.
