So the J18 bolted up to the 1.3 sierra gear box? Or is that a J20 box?

Correct j18 to 5 speed 1.3 box

should put a j23 in it once your done :) really put the pain on the gearbox

Cheers daddos! I’m so pleased everything lined up with only a bit of minor grinding and drilling 😅 Engine mounts were very time consuming. Making a hd gearbox Mount tomorrow

Great video and nice to see a very simple AUS video on this great build. Any tips on finding a model as a project? I assume a hardtop is better with potential for less rust compared to soft top. Thanks!

Thanks mate! She’s a great rig, when I look for a Suzuki I make try make sure it’s a leaf sprung wide track. They will be the 1.3L 5 speed with discs on the front rather than drums all round. Personally I prefer hard tops (quiet and no leaks) or a fibre top. Cheers!

Hey mate love the little beast. Just curious what bonnet latches you are using, I’ve noticed mine lifts up a bit on the highway and I’m always a little paranoid it will fly up!

Noice. Looks a bit of a clunker but it has good bones, and I know you Jamie, you will do a brilliant job with your skills. The Drover looks in good shape, can't wait until you stick that mid mounted V8 in there.

Looks to be a very old long ranger fuel tank the new ones look completely different mounting system. And puck up. Brown Davis tanks are only 60l im pretty sure.

There’s a plaque on it that says 4wdSystems, and it turned out to be 75L which was a surprising bonus!

That is one mighty mod. I remember doing mine on the Challenger, Needed to modify a few things to get the 116ltr tank to fit. Having a long range tank is so goooooood.
