how do you replace the annular plate by cutting a minimum of 12.5 mm without changing the height of the tank and consequently the positions of all elements on the tank (Manways, nozzles etc..)? Thankyou

Cu the annular section then Jack up the shell #1
@gabrieleliaskaznadji99457 күн бұрын
@rizkiwahyudi-b7s the Jack's are temporary though... could you elaborate? You would need to replace those 12.5 mm permanently somehow, all i can think of is placing 12.5 mm shims under the tank bottom at the shell circumference. Though I don't think that would be acceptable as a permanent solution.

Hello, one question Are all the values in these videos are based on ASME Sec VIII? For example when you said if the design temp is not provided we can take To x 1.1 or To +15 C. All of these equations are according to the ASME Sec VIII?

Something wrong regarding of design pressure margin over the design pressure: Pressure safety valve are used to protect against overpressure. Conventional spring-operated pressure safety valve needs 15% margin over normal operating pressure to avoid simming. So, common margin from operating pressure to design temperature used to be about 20% at least. Regards, Sébastien, P Eng.
@ArvengTraining3 ай бұрын
Dear Sébastien, thank you very much for your comment. As you may know, API 520 is very clear about PSV’s set pressure. The design margin referenced to in our video is between the MAWP of the component and the Maximum expected operating pressure. Therefore, these two concepts (design margin and PSV margin) coexist. Kind regards, The Arveng Team
