Aloha, something I have been wondering about: I see a lot of beekeeping videos and I've noticed a lot, but not all, beekeepers put a brick or rock or something heavy on the lid. Why?
@kentuckyagriculture6 ай бұрын
Hi there! This is is order to prevent unwanted critters from knocking off the lid and getting into the hive. Added security for the bees!

So basically if you dont live anywhere near a city that has an association to go to for a year then don't keep bees? Lol
@kentuckyagriculture Жыл бұрын
Not at all! Although the connections made at a local bee association are invaluable, if you don't have access to one there's tons of resources online and at local extension offices to help you get started with beekeeping.

THE BIRD FLU IS A LIE! AMERCIA IS A SLEEP IF YOU CAN'T SEE THIS IS PART OF THE NEW WORLD AGENDA TO STARVE PEOPLE. LOOK AT THE FOOD PROCESSING PLANTS, AND FERTILIZER PLANTS HOW SO CLOSE TOGETHER THEY SUDDEN BURNT TO THE GROUND. iF YOU CAN'T SEE THIS. YOUR DECEIVED OF DON'T HAVE A PULSE. THIS WAR IS SPIRITUAL... THIS WAR IS SPIRITUAL. THIS WAR IS SPIRITUAL. YOU HAVE TO GET IT. THE SAME SATANIC ELITE BEHIND THIS IS SILENCING PEOPLE FROM KNOWING THE TRUTH. LIKE MYSELF. THIS IS CHILDS PLAY TO WHAT IS COMING. IF YOU PEOPLE CAN'T SEE OF EVERYTHING ON THE GLOBE AND U.S. HAS BEEN HAPPENING. JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK IN MY LIFE TIME. THE ONLY WAY TO GOD IS THROUGH HIS SON. TO CONFIRM ALL I HAVE SAID IS TRUTH. THE ECONOMY IS GOING TO COLLAPSE, AND WE ARE GOING TO FULL DIGITAL CURRENCY. THIS IS BIBLE PROPHECY IN THE MAKING OF ONE GLOBAL CURRENCY. I'm not in Kentucky but a couple weeks ago a Dove somehow got into my main pen and the chickens killed it now 2 of my chickens suddenly got sick, one died the other is in bad shape and I am terrified that I'm going to lose my whole flock. I have 200+ birds that nearly all came from Greenfire Farms so the financial loss is going to be brutal considering I paid $100 each for many of them as day old chicks. I'm hoping it's a coincidence with that wild bird but if 1 more dies I'm going to have to take action and call for testing. My flock is my income so this has really a nightmare for people like me who rely on our birds just to pay the bills. I can't even sell hatching eggs right now until I know what's going on.

Save some eggs and put them aside before you call the officials in. Things are about to get sketchy!
@birdgirl15162 жыл бұрын
@Jiggy fun : what do you mean sketchy? You think the ice age farmer channel is onto something? Did this get intentionally released as a strain that can jump to humans 😬 Scary!
@jiggyfun8072 жыл бұрын
@@birdgirl1516 I don't think this will jump to humans, but I do think there will bio-secure borders. "No backyard flocks within 50 miles of a commercial operation" Everyone that has run into this so far goes overboard talking about biosecurity. Very few backyarders are doing wash in/wash out. The commercial guys have wild birds flying through their barns all the time, but are seeing very low infection rates, or maybe their just not reporting it, since the meat and eggs are still fine.

As a child, we did not know that I was allergic to bees. When anyone was stung, a wet TEA BAG was applied. So I never had adverse reaction. Unfortunately, while I was in a class at military school, I was stung. I requested a tea bag to self treat. I was informed that, "you'll be alright". In minutes I was taken to the emergency to be treated. I was then told to carry an epip pen. I did even even after leaving the military for about 10 years. Went back to using a TEA BAG. More affordable. In the past 20 years, approximately, I have not any problems if stung. I wish the best to anyone who gets stung.

Hemp is great for everything. Cloth, pain, all types of products. I had a purse made of hemp. My grandmother 88 is alive because of it. A heart doctor she knew had cancer he almost died because he couldnt gain weight. My 84 yr old grandmother too almost died of larynx cancer 4 trs ago. She weighed 70lbs until HE ADMITTED TO HER he smoked cannabis to give him an appetite. A suggestion of his kids. We all know and joke how it gives you the munchies. It was how he and my grandmother gained an appetite and weight! She used to babysit his grand kids after her retirement. After he told her about it one of the many weed smokers in the family came over to TOKE her up. OF COURSE WEVE GOT FACEBOOK PICS OF HER TOKING WE EVEN THROYGH ON A CROOKED BASBALL CAP FOR FUN! Funny she was married to a near full blooded native american who smoked and she still never smoked it before if she did believe me we'd all know about it. Let me tell you THIS 84YR OLD WAS MAKING GRILLED CHEESES FOR EVERYONE WITHIN 10 MIN LOL. Gained weight within days too! She never drank more than a juice glass of wine in a year or smoked or did any drugs in her life. She smoked cigarettes only, but had quit 30 yrs prior to cancer. She only smoked weed long enough to gain her weight back about 6 weeks or maybe a couple months not long at all really. She is 88 yrs old and stronger than any of us grandchildren. We almost lost her. For over a year she was losing Weight got to a stand still where it would not go up and her appetite And depression was going to be the end of her if we didnt do something. Her throat hurt to swallow all it took was 2 puffs of cannabis a day. Like i said idk a couple months MAYBE. Pain does get so bad it causes suicide or a desire to be put out of misery, i have fibro myalgia, arthritis and a mild case of untreated lyme disease. Many have contemplated death ...hemp helps many people for many reasons. I wouldnt advise young people smoke it or advertise it loosely. Some have to take another form of hemp cbd...for ADHD...or depression or anxiety. I think physician regulated is better than a great many of drugs out there because its not as addicting or difficult to get off of it has no huge painful or dangerous detox affects. It can be used for pain in a way that doesnt give uphoria and you can make paper, string, purses rodent substrate....the lust is endless. Shocked they never legalized it sooner. It is legal here in Mass, physicians give out scripts, people grow it legally carry it on them in Mass. It is sold in a store too in North Hampton Ma.
