Yo dawg, unless it's on purpose, I think the bass boost on the song in the outro is set a bit too high since the song sounds somewhat distorted and the audio of the videos playing in the background are somewhat drowned out. You may want to lower the bass boost some.

Hey millennial, I was wondering what’s the frequency of trains on the painsville sub and how long do you usually have to wait to see one also are there times when traffic is heavier or lighter?
@millennialtrainman3443Ай бұрын
@@Seaboardsystem-t7e hmmm, depends on which part of the sub you go to. On average the Paynesville see’s anywhere from 10-15 trains a day. This time of the year should be more like 15 with grain harvest in full swing. I guess I would say you wouldn’t have to wait more than 2 hrs at maximum to see a train. Hope that helps!

Hey buddy! Good meeting you at 121st the other day. Just letting you know that BNSF NTWSUP is leaving NT right now and should be on the sub in 20-30 minutes. He’ll be meeting a CP SB grain in Andover. Just thought I’d let you know in case you were looking to catch some trains on the sub today.

A lot of people are commenting "blown turbo" - but that doesn't happen to EMD units like it does to GE units for two reasons: 1) in the absence exhaust pressure (and below about notch 6) the turbo becomes mechanically driven; and 2) in the absence of intake pressure, the engine won't run at all (2-stroke engines require forced induction). It's more likely that this is the burning of excessive carbon buildup in the exhaust manifold, especially since the flames rapidly thin after first igniting. This will often happen to EMD units when run at notch 8 after overly long periods of idling or low throttle.

1964 is one of my favorite sd40s to work on besides the MRL sd40s. Was in Glendive for months. The 1905 was sent east for maintenance after it sat in the laurel roundhouse for a month with mechanical issues. It began working the bottom of the west lead in laurel yard this morning.

And the 1964 is back in Glendive. It was gone for a week or so, now I know where it went. I did catch the 1905 and 54 as they were heading east through here, but missed it on the return trip west. I will definitely have to roll by the Laurel yard on my way to the Livingston/Helena Railfair weekend the 26th!

The SD40-2 shooting the flames out the stack looks like it is paired with the slug following it. Those are usually used in yard or hump service. I bet the guys in Dilworth will be happy to get that set.

I cannot tell if the smoke is grey or grey/blue. Given the sparks, I presume he is just burning off carbon buildup which is a normal situation especially if the locomotive is seeing high throttle for the first time in a while. The grey smoke would go along with that pretty well. If the smoke had a more blue tint, it would mean the engine is burning oil, indicative of a failed turbo (actually) or another failure allowing oil to burn in the engine. Sparks in the exhaust would not go along with that kind of failure.
