Amazing! Does anyone know how he’s getting all this stone? Is it really just spread over his fields or did he have to dig or buy it?
@detailkings3191 Жыл бұрын
I would assume he’s bought it and had it delivered.

The landscape supply yard in my town in Canada sells it, but the older walls surrounding many of the farms and properties were built with stone salvaged from clearing the fields. Our home and barns foundations were built with it also, pretty much thr whole town is.

Very poor quality. As much as I have a distain for negative comments, the walls were very poorly constructed. However, if you enjoyed the building process, then it was worthwhile.

The build quality of these walls is really poor tbh. Any time the camera is looking at the walls, there are so many vertical running joints going up the wall by like 2 feet (2:23) Sorry to say but that's shoddy workmanship. Nothing is pinned!. He is just stacking stones on top of each other and it will be rocking all over the place. The drone shows how wonky his walls are running also.. Folk who have no clue about walling or masonry are telling how wonderful it is here in the comments. I'm a stonemason before anyone claims that I have no clue what I'm talking about.

Ahh holy fuck. I can't believe I'm agreeing with a Hun 🥵🥵 But he's correct. So many running joints in it. It's a great effort from this farmer but thst wall will need lots of maintenance on it. It will stand, but over time it'll move and twist. If built right, it'll stand for 100s of years. Still can't fault the man. That would take some serious man hours to build thst amount and some hard graft.

William, В песчаных карьерах вблизи Москвы встречаются тысячи каменных глыб из месторождений Карелии. Тысячи лет назад при Всемирном оледенении эти глыбы были сдвинуты из Крайнего Севера до Москвы .

Not a single word of explanation about Dry Stone Wall Building
This guy is my hero. I thought maybe my fascination and love of building natural Ozark stone walls might be a bit extreme. I guess I need to step my game up. Thanks for the inspiration Patsy!
