@customtoysandmore which splitter? Kuryakyn? That's what I used for the rear turns stop and brake. The factory plate light wire is just a 2wire positive/ground, or at least it was. The fronts I used my own relays to invert the signals but custom dynamics has the easy 2 wire inverters that plug in. I'm not sure if that's what you're asking.

I can completely agree with everything that you have mentioned about how Chinese scooters are wired I thought I was the only one and I was beginning to think I was crazy because somebody gave me a Chinese scooter at work 2017 50cc scooter and I wanted to fix it up so I started to look at the wiring and let me tell you it was worse than what your situation is the thing didn't even come with a fuse any relays to turn lights on nothing all the grounds or ran to 1 crimp not soldered and ground wires change colors from green to blue to red I mean it's just ridiculous so I ran all new grounds made a distribution block separate from my starter wire to take the load off of my electronics when starter drawers power I don't know maybe it's a little overboard and people at work were starting to talk about it now after seeing this video I feel a whole hell of a lot better I even put relays on my lights fuse distribution block for everything the works and it just helps me sleep a little better at night you know what I mean I just don't understand why there's no quality control over in China with their products thanks for posting this video I know it's old but I started to watch it and it really meant a lot to me and help me not to question my sanity when it comes to being overly anal about wiring you know what I mean thanks again

Yes, it's called a t-splice or military splice. It's not a bad way to do it, if you know how to properly tape it. Soldering, tape, and heat shrink will always be the way to go. The trick for alarm installation is copying what the factory does, meaning make it blend in with the rest of the factory wires. You keep being OCD! And those little bikes were so fun there. Im not a big fan of a scooter or CVT but the GY6 150 is so ubiquitous and the parts are so cheap..... AND this one looked decent cooler than a lot of TaoTao. crap (I believe it is a Zhen scooter). Ive already got wide band o2 sensor capability With half of the Dobeck tool and half parts I bought on my own. I havent tried it yet though. Tony brother, I could use your engineering expertise. How do I really tell if my rectifier is going on the scoot? I heard from Rocky Mountain ATV that you can't test a single phase regulator, is this true? The problem I currently have is my solenoid is clicking, but when I test on the starter side of the noid while cranking I'm only getting max 3 volts. Getting 12+ volts all around the bike when checking the grounds. Changed out the stator, and the solenoid and getting the same result. What am I missing here?
@apmscootering52195 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay, is the battery dead? This is usually one way to verify if a rectifier/regulator is not working properly, if the battery doesn't show an increase in voltage while the scooter is running I would suspect the rectifier. So on to the starter seloniod are you getting 12 to 14v on the solenoid input wires when squeezing the brake and pushing the start button. The seloniod is just one big relay.
