I have finished reading Winter Ghosts about 4 hours ago. It's very easy to read, like a story by MR James. A book I intend to read again in a year or so. I really liked it.

Picked up the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in a charity shop. Bit bored at first, stuck with it, finished it in 3 days. Astonishing, wonderful, brilliant. Can't wait to get the next one, so worried it won't live up to the first.

The reason why they used George Clooney‘s voice as Mr Fox, was to get mums into the cinemas with their children. It was purely a marketing ploy that worked.

About them being “hard to read” I guess at times things tend to get a little repetitive, but I think that’s majorly due to the many perspectives of the books (specially second and third). Nonetheless, he always find way to make this “repetitiveness” very reward in many ways. Btw, I’ve just finished the trilogy five minutes ago and I’m in love with them!!

This movie/book shows if nuclear war happened it would literally reset humanity to the stone ages. All our infrastructures, technology and knowledge that accumulated all these millennia would be lost.. well maybe stored in bunkers.. but all the things we complain about today, they're literally luxuries compared to a post-apocalyptic world. It would be like living in Medieval Dark Ages again but honestly.. probably worse since we have no knowledge or preparation of how our medieval ancestors lived. The remaining survivors which honestly would probably be 0.001% of the population of Earth would harbor all the suffering and loss, grief on their shoulders and it'd be up to them to learn from our mistakes. With no knowledge of agriculture they would most likely live like the ancients on nuts and seeds, berries etc. Nature would replenish itself again and humans wouldn't be the dominant species anymore. It would take a million years or so for us to get back to where we are today... But what difference would it make then? Would our future selves choose the same thing again?

Alice Sebold sells rape ... its sad her accused was #EXONERATED & lost 16 years of his life, for her #Karen level lies.. She positively identified 2 men, the 2nd one was #innocent, but went to jail for the crime .. Thanks for supporting her work, she owes him millions. Although she is still a victim, it wasn't by Mr Broadwaters hands... We've seen this #Reefermadness before, reminds me of the fake #rape allegations, when a baby pops up African American, out of a white woman's vagina

#AuthorKaren where was respect for Mr. Broadwater, the innocent man your book & #Netflix movie is about ... At criminal trial, you changed the person you said "committed" the rape, and sent an innocent man to jail.. He was exonerated [Recently] and we're learning of this [recently] ... this #slaver & well known victim, was proven wrong by the local #DA, and her movie #producer, for netflix... She benefitted from books, and #Hollywood, while he's been labeled a sex offender, and couldn't carry on, with his life. She's a Liar of sorts. Likely, a victim, but would've blamed any #blackMan * this is a pitiful human, a sad victim, and family destroying #Liar .. God bless the man she dragged for 16 years 🙏 🤔🙌🏾

Scientists have recently discovered the most powerful substance in the universe. If we are able to harness this magnificent agent, we will finally be able to achieve interstellar travel and ensure the future of the human race. What is this most potent substance? It's Karen Tears!! Hallelujah! These tears can make you see the things that she wants you to see. They can make you completely disregard reality. Best of all, they are MORE powerful than the very blood of Jesus Christ. No transgression can be held against you! A single Karen Tear will immediately absolve you from sending an innocent man to prison because, you know, she's Karen and he's, um, you know. Get on the Karen bandwagon and get your Karen Tears today!
