Yeah, it's called neglect. It has nothing to do with love whatsoever. My father provided for me financially as well, but it wasn't out of love. It was out of narcissism and wanting to pretend to be a good father. Stop normalizing this kind of bad behavior and tell it like it is. If a man is never around, his actions are neglect, emotional absense and abuse. There is a huge difference between my grandfather and my father. My grandfather worked 3 jobs and had very little time too, but he spent it with his family when he did being a loving, kind man and always building those up around them. He never punched down on family. That's a man and a good father, not one that simply just provides financially.
