Amazing to think what they went on to accomplish after this.......double Olympic champions, double World Cup final winners, European champions and WEG champions.....holders of all 3 records at Grand Prix level. One of the things I am thankful for was getting to see these two dance their way to Gold in London to this very music, and to also be there for Valegro's retirement at Olympia was a truly special way to round off what was a magnificent career. They were the world beaters, the world's best. And best of all they were BRITISH 🇬🇧🏇🏅

Isabell Wert, M.A. Rath und Co natürlich schon.. ;)

Wow! Performances like that are very rare these days. His tail was quiet even during the tempi changes. And his hind feet were actually active in the piaffe and in the quarter pirrouette in piaffe, not just 'stepping from one foot to the next'

Horses are better dancers than most nightclubbers out there. This made me tear up all the way through. Excellent choice of music, it fit Valegro's pace perfectly. Beautiful strides. Very discreet leg movements in rider. I'm so glad that these two won the gold medal. Both are inspirations to me. Well done Charlotte and Valegro!!

I totally agree go girl for wearing a proper helmet and setting my daughters a good example. Anyone who knocks this girls riding must blind all the greats recognise her perfect riding, she looks like she does nothing, yet you cant ride a horse and get a performance like that! Unless you are one of the best.

the music is just terrible! and my entire life has been involved in music. Completely annoying.

Oh silly hat, about to go off cross country, such a pedestrian silhouette. Im not sure about the score but then I was at the Olympics in Hong Kong (Beijing) and I saw much worse taking gold so maybe it's the season for silly scores. If you rewind rapidly to the very beginning you will see a very muddled start, did she want to walk, trot, or passage cause she did a bit of all before settling for a mediocre passage. Im not convinced overall, good horse bad rider? Terrible music. Extended trot 100%.

Amazing stuff, but the music is terrible. Maybe its just me but i find it very disjointed. Each sections matches the horse beautifully, granted, but it just jumps from element to element with no flow or connection. Personally, I like the music to at least have a common theme or at least be similar in style.

Why should Totilas be a case for the rspca? (just curious) I agree with you 100% about the british team aswell :)

Brilliant effort - all of you out there being negative about this performance should go out and do it yourselves then I might take your criticisms seriously, until then shut up cause you haven't a bloody clue what you are looking at . Rock On team GB - Germany and Holland are not the only competitors on the planet where dressage is concerned - be sporting about it - it's just nasty and jealous to be otherwise .

Incredibly beautiful. So light and free on the forehand. A tiny bit in front of the bit, but a head set SO much better than I've seen any grand prix level horse in many, many years. Hoping others see this and consider giving up that nasty style of forcing dropped noses and arched crests. This is as close to correct as I've seen in a while! Notice the bit at or above level with the hip, and the neck flexed at the POLL. It shows in his free forehand, impulsion, and the scores of the judges!

I liked the ending when she released her horse and all of a sudden his personality came out, where was it in the program? I don't think the horse liked the music. It just looked like he was going through the motions...it's nice seeing some sitting at the piaffe that was nice to see. it's nice seeing the horse's poll starting to be the highest point too.

Very nice horse and well executed - but not a 90+%. The music/choreography sequences were disjointed and it was not as creative as a 90+% performance would recommend. Coming from the viewpoint of both a supportive spectator and someone who has had experience with the creative process and competitions of freestyles, it appears to me that the judges were generous. Sentiments are high for a British duo to do well at the Olympics in London.

Check the breeding and come back with a less moronic comment! The horse is Dutch...Carl and Charlottes horses are treated like horses, enjoy variety in their schooling and get turned out in fields give me that any day!! Too much knee action pah hahaha I guess you don't like Totilas either!? Do you like daisy cutting show ponies by any chance!!??? Haha KZbin Olympic standard dressage judge LOL
