@@aidanfgc8312 There are some players in the community with practiced FAL control. IllethP would be a great example, though I don't know if his YT has any FAL footage. It's usable, and I'm not the most experienced with it, but m14 has been the king of SS guns for years for very, very good reasons!

@@aidanfgc8312 Railgun and M99 are utterly overpowered in the hands of people who can shoot well and have access to spares. They have no place in any CD match meant to be challenging or interesting.

I see. I don't play pc so CD is a foreign concept to me, as you can see my speculations were blatantly ignorant. In another note, is that why the FAL is only seen in the commando and not sharpshooter? I would imagine the high dps would certainly make CD easier.

@aidanfgc8312 All good! My summary came off as a little aggressive there, and I apologize. The thing about FAL is that raw DPS isn't a perfect measure. It's always trying to make you fail with its random recoil, the recoil especially inhibits it at range, and its long reload gets punished if you're not perfect. M14 is very nearly as fast and much more flexible, in addition to being able to engage effectively at ranges the FAL only dreams of.

@hoangduyle4409 They sure do! CD still has steady play and queues. There is a Discord server in my description that's a great place to find games!

In terms of visuals, I have my .ini file customized to hell and back for performance and visibility. No visual mods, per se. There are a lot of CD players who nuke the settings even more, but I like the game to look at least halfway decent. In terms of the crosshair, I use notpeelz' reshade-xhair 1. Google "ReShade" and download it 2. Google "notPeelz reshade xhair," download it, and follow the instructions Alternately, notpeelz also has it on Steam, if you play on Steam. Google "peelz kf2 crosshair overlay" and the Steam Workshop link should come right up. That's probably the easier option, but I've never used it.

@thottydevito "Challenge"? Do you mean like "Dust 2 Challenge" and "Containment Station Challenge" and such? This is not that. This is Controlled Difficulty, which is a modded style of play that allows for very detailed control of game settings and spawns. It's generally used to make the game much, much harder, as you see here.

Dead Eye is quite good, but not as good as Always Prepared. It doesn't matter how much damage you do if you don't have bullets. If you overcap--meaning that you fill the weapon, throw it on the ground, swap skills, and pick it back up--you can have your cake and eat it, too. I don't overcap any more because I got used to aiming without it for months during a tournament, and now the recoil is just part of how I aim at and track targets.

It was a wild run, for sure! Everything just got annihilated for the low price of knowing how to headshot. It's so silly. I put a lot of work into xbow at one point because I think it's really neat, so I'm used to hitting over gauntlets with projectiles, even while constantly changing my crouch state. That was so funny 😀 Poor man has no real baseline and watched us delete mig3 in a precision run and then delete this with nonsense guns.

I'll have to get back to you in a bit on the whole list, and it varies by region, but FAL isn't a particularly powerful weapon, especially not as compared to the m14, and particularly not when every bullet and stray rage matters.

Yeah, it is. It's particularly great for crowds of trash. I don't particularly like it, and the recoil takes a little getting used to, but it's a good little gun.

EU has been running 7 waves recently. For mig3, they cut waves 2, 4, and 6 entirely and run the other 7. It's because the premier EU group was burning out on looooong grinds and decided to try it, then other groups followed suit.

It does, indeed, look different! I have a bunch of effects turned off in my .ini so I can get a good framerate on my aging machine, and they affect the way the glitch appears. I genuinely adore the little Death Star explosion that is the result.

Thank you!! I am indeed part of the low sens gang. The best thing to ever happen to my aim was lowering it. I use 800 dpi on the mouse & 6 sensitivity ingame. KF2's sensitivity is linear, so 6/20 results in 240 eDPI

Indeed! Failing to respect mediums is the fast track to a wipe.

On our server, Ranger is reverted back to having quadruple stun power rather than its huge multiplier in vanilla KF2 In addition, larges have a block chance on HoE to resist incoming afflictions. Finally, if you're hitting at less than max rate of fire, the decay timings for the stun value can hit and add more. Scrakes are always 2-3 to stun on our settings for EBR, unless I don't hit the shots fast enough, in which case it can take 4
