Hey there. Thanks for the great video! We're about to do a 6 day tour of kyushu ourselves (tomorrow and totally unprepared!!!) and would like to ask you some questions! Can we sleep for free? Is it possible to park near the sea and in general outside of gas stations/park areas? Could you send us some locations please? Did you get a highway pass? Thank you!
@chloeandtreyАй бұрын
@@davidpowerfns can sleep for free! We found a rest stop along the water and slept there. We did not get a highway pass, just paid the tolls as we drove through them. ☺️ I included our van life Japan travel guide with a helpful map of places you can sleep! 👌 thefroggyadventures.com/camper-van-life-japan/

that is the correct conversion! 3,000 yen is around $21 USD in todays exchange rate. Probably not a lot of money for most Americans but when we traveled this past year we tried to keep our meals down to $5 per person which wasn't very healthy in Japan... so this meal was great for us

I love how mellow kushu is. I've been there 3x in the past few years. Btw, I tried booking with samurai campervan last year and they did not respond to my messages in posts, IG messenger, through their website, and email for 2 weeks. I eventually had to make a long distance call and was quoted a 30% higher price was way elevated from what is listed on their website. It was not a pleasant experience and because I was waiting for my their reply, it delayed my planning which resulted in higher prices for car rental and hotel due to last minute planning.
