My 1978 Honda express had a non threaded jet in it that was either 72 or 74 but it was punched in by machine. I just switched to dellorto.

I just got an express with a deltoro and mlm intake plus exhaust yet it needed a new cable, this new one doesn’t fit as well in the carb causing the slide to sit halfway and making the bike run at full throttle (straight up to 28mphs tops out around there after resetting to 58) How’d you get the cable to work in that configuration? Any tips for that process to properly set the carb up Cheers !
@miguelpagansr6128Ай бұрын
It really took no effort at all, I did use the original factory cables without modifying the cables. I think I’ll be posting a how to video on how to install the cables with the same carburetor, I’ll need to get a camera man 😂. And make sure that you get the factory dellorto cable adjusters, eBay and treatland carry them good luck.
@terrancebrown820221 күн бұрын
@@miguelpagansr6128I still gotta get those adjusters but I got the cable/slide seated properly in the carb again! Ofcourse my ignition coil gave out and now no longer gives strong enough spark, I’ll have to do the treatland route with a new one and ground it just like your other video! It’s always great to see more express’s running around , hope the build is working great 👍

You might wanna show exactly what your doing and how it fits afterwards (or the whole process of shortening the piece). And also point out that using an aftermarket carb won't allow you to use the factory airbox. Might not be an issue for some, but if your going for the original look, that might be an issue. The new carbs work great and don't leak like the originals do, but I like to keep mine factory looking. The originals have no adjustment for the float bowl (at least on the 78 & 79), which can cause it to puke fuel from time to time. And finding original parts can be hard for these things. Trust me, I'm no KZbin expert, so watch Mustie1 and Dale Sweger for some insight. Mustie has been at this for quite some time and love his content and presentation. Dale is kinda new, but does an outstanding and very thorough job with the projects he works on.
