I hope you develop this video into slower and more put some texture after this gray style and go through every gate like a walkinh person so we all could feel the presence of walking within the walls

Great work Rob. I know this might be a lot to ask, as a complete stranger, but is there any chance i could have a copy of your model, as an obj or .blend file ? I am in a group of noobs who just started blender last xmas and this month i need to model an uruk-hai helmet, which i would like to place in the foreground, looking up at a majestic Minas Tirith, long after the battle has been won. To animate a camera in to that final shot would be more spectacular than a single flat image in the background. Hope you get this request in the next few days and understand if its too much work to share for free. Thanks mate :)

Would you mind sharing a tutorial with some basic steps? Im pretty new when it comes to blender but i would like to try to make a bit less complex model of Minas Tirith. Would be very appreciated! It looks awesome by the way!

Nickyholic Hi, I never thought about doing a tutorial for this before. But I do have some spare time over the summer, and I will be starting on this project again very soon. So it can be possible I will do a short tutorial while I am working on it. Is there anything you would like me to include in a tutorial if I get around to making one?

Rob Hurley How to create towers would be very much appreciated. Im doing my masters medieval archaeology and could use it for reconstructing both churches and castles. It might sound very basic but i have only been familiar with the program for a week :)

Nickyholic Hi again, Sorry but over the last month I actually started another project which is taking up all of my time. I really don't think that I will actually have anytime to start work on Minas Tirith again this summer. Also all of my sound equipment is back in London, and I don't like doing bad quality tutorials. Maybe I will get around to doing a tutorial on a spare day, but I can't see myself making one anytime before September.

Very nice model. How do You make the camera animations in blender? I m going to make sth like that with minecraft model in blender.

Thanks. I moved the Camera just by adding Key Frames. This isn't the best way to do it. If I had done more research at this point I would have used a tracking path for the camera to follow over time so it would have a smoother motion.

I'm in the process of upgrading it all, Individual Buildings, Trees, etc. But it is slow progress as my Uni course has now taken all of my time, and this 2nd term doesn't look like I'll be getting anymore free time as more 3D modeling coursework is being set. One day I'll have it finished.
