I've ridden Phase 1 a few times, which is a 20 minute drive from my house (or an hour by bike, if I wanted to go that route). It's a fun trail that offers a decent challenge in some sections, and while there are still a couple of features I shy away from, I get a little better each time and know I'll ride them eventually. I have a Trek Marlin 8 which actually is perfect for these kinds of trails.

I was at Snowshoe back in 2010. Completely different to what I'm used to here in Australia. Skiing snowshoe was a great event out of a bad vacation. This mountain allowed me to turn a bad vacation into a good one. So glad I skied it.

Contemplating heading that way this weekend. P1, P2, and Horns Hill would be my 3 trails I'd ride. Are there any features other than those wooden bridges? In particular jumps and drops?
@TheSouthpawSkier
@TheSouthpawSkier 4 жыл бұрын
On phase 1, there are mainly roots and small bridges as well as phase two, horn hill is a really tough trail where it is pretty much a downhill track with massive doubles. One place I'd check out would be chestnut ridge, they have a really cool downhill trail that has mainly has rollers that you can jump into berms.

I've ridden phase one several times. Is phase two as challenging as it looks with the long high bridge etc.? Thanks for sharing the ride.
@TheSouthpawSkier
@TheSouthpawSkier 4 жыл бұрын
I think both trails offer different types of technical. I've ridden both for a couple years now and I think phase 1 is more rooty and has more "natural" features, where as phase 2 has a lot more "man-made" features like the bridge in the thumbnail. There are also quite a bit of skinny bridges that I didn't feature in the video that are scattered along the trail. But in my opinion phase 1 is usually a better choice because it's less crowded.
