First off food poisoning won’t happen all the time even at the same exact restaurant and location. It is all about circumstance because they might have gotten a bad shipment or they undercooked that one order with all the rush. Or something like that. Doesn’t really have anything to do with the restaurant unless people consistently get food poisoning (cough cough Burger King)

Even in other industries, if you send a self addressed and stamped return envelope it goes a long way. When I was a kid I used to get Boys Life magazine from the scouts. All those adds in the back, I was a kid and never had money. Much less convince my parents to mail money. I would send envelopes to places from there and basically say “hey I’m in 4th grade. My parents don’t pay me which made me be a cheapskate. Can I have some cool stuff for free and I’ll show my friends and parents to convince them to buy more?” And I used to get stickers and stuff. One place sent me a little Swiss Army knife. As an adult, way back in like 2011/2012 I sent envelopes again to a bunch of brands around snowboarding and had a letter saying I liked the brand and asked for swag. I got tons of stickers, some keychains, and a sick set of dragon goggles.
