the baseboards go through the door, if I click auto hole on walls it removes the baseboards
@Joel_NantelАй бұрын
Make sure you change the size of the CTRL_Baseboard object on each of your doors to cover where you want to remove the baseboards. When you click auto holes, it basically creates a Boolean modifier using that object to remove any baseboards that are touching it.
@plautus-jc8beАй бұрын
@@Joel_Nantel it removes the entire wall baseboard.
@Joel_NantelАй бұрын
Just check the modifiers on the wall that's removing them and make sure it's pointing to the right object. I did find it only put baseboards on one side of the wall, so you might have to duplicate some manually.

Personally, I wouldn't use the emission bsdf and keep the normal one, you can use the emission on the principled bsdf and then ontop of that use a fingerprint roughness map etc to add some dirt or other things to the screen, noones screen is perfectly clean and it goes a long way to have things like that

Do you mind making a video on texturing, I can't seem to find where I can select certain parts of the sword to be certain materials instead of everything being the same material.
@Joel_Nantel4 ай бұрын
So you need to add a second material to your object with the little plus icon on the right of the materials pane, then you can select the faces you want to add it to, and select 'assign' just under where your materials are

@Joel_Nantel4 ай бұрын
Duly noted, how would you suggest improving it?
@thisGuy4814 ай бұрын
@@Joel_Nantel Honestly, I would make it like how it's made in real life. Blade separate, hilt, gaurd, pommel etc. They way you did it here is good for a video game but I'd still make the hilt watertight with the rest of the model.
