Have this EXACT issue with my 98 Camry XLE. damn cord was dragging on the ground and now I need to replace the head of the block heater cord. Thank you so much for this video man. I kinda knew what to expect but I wanted to watch someone do the exact thing I was doing for reference.

A better ground clamp is to use a c clamp weld a bolt on it attach ground wire to it with a bolt clamps tighter , we use them at work, 40 plus years as a we.

It has been 5 years, has it held up, can the batteries be swapped out easily or would you need to take it apart? they are on sale right now.
@woodsarmoury10 күн бұрын
The plastic shell/cases tends to break on these. I would not pay full price for one that is for sure. Not sure about changing batteries, sorry.

Do you have to unhook your battery cables to replace the plug is there an electricity problem that could happen
@woodsarmoury10 күн бұрын
You shouldn't have too, as these heaters are not normally connected to your vehicles electrical system.

I have a VW toureg V10 diesel that i keep outside in Nashville, Tennessee. My car is outside on the driveway. I bought one of these Kats heaters for the VW. I noticed the instructions say only indoors. Could I use it outside, and what is the danger or reason for the recommendation of indoor only.
@woodsarmoury10 күн бұрын
I never read the instructions for mine so not sure. Maybe rain and moisture could be a problem.

With real weapons vs the replica to remember, at least in the USA you can't make a replica 1 to 1.. It has to be larger or smaller so it won't accept genuine parts.
@woodsarmoury10 күн бұрын
The MG will never be close enough to original to be classified as replica by Canadian standards... Replica firearms are prohibited in Canada. The only part of the MG that will look original is the barrel section that is out of turret.

I would leave the door round, or mostly round maybe cut flat on bottom to retain ash.

I have the identical issue and I was wondering, rather than having to make those same type of clamps you did is there any other type of clamps that I can use without having to do welding?

I'd invest in either a plasma cutter, or an oxygen acetylene torch. Mainey because so you don't have to keep cutting with a grinder. Also, the plasma cutter, and the oxygen acetylene will cut through thinner steel like butter.

Eastcoastarmory makes a 1/6 Cradle for a 222 model, in a video on the vehicle they show how it works, apparently a spring buffer tube. Can probably e-mail them and ask where they got the info. video is the second one on their 222 product page under KwK 30 flak gun cradle.

Is it possible that there is a spring in that tube that they use for counterbalance rather than weight? A calibrated spring set at the level position might work, just tossing ideas out, never seen the inside of an original
@woodsarmouryАй бұрын
Yeah the original has to be hydraulic or spring or both... the lead weight is just my redneck hack. Down the road I want to revisit this part for sure.

Rally love the craftsmanship and watching this type of content. You’ve done a great job. I do have to wonder, is that all 1/4” plate? Not sure that’ll stop much
@woodsarmouryАй бұрын
I'd say its at least 50% 1/4 plate maybe more. In some areas (alot of the smaller sections) we used 1/8 to save weight and money.

Your could in theory build a pan/drive train using new "Empi VW" parts and there is a company that sells stamped body panels. The end product would basically be a brand new vehicle. It would be extremely expensive of course.

Honestly why not make a black powder 20 mill smoothbore with a manual breach So a big “single shot rifle” for registration
@woodsarmoury2 ай бұрын
Well that is an option... we also considered a 12ga "insert" setup. The original was an auto-cannon... so it was fired in bursts. Ideally we want something to simulate that.
@dylanstewart81182 ай бұрын
@@woodsarmoury how about a long beanbag cannon that’s automatically pressurized by a small generator Or 12g single shot rigged with a homemade autoloader like a slide
@woodsarmoury2 ай бұрын
Well we dont need the ability to actually fire projectiles and something that simulates automatic fire would be best.
