40,000 Spartans and Greeks going into battle of 3:1. So that would be 120,000 enemies. The tagline for this movie, IIRC, was 300 vs a million. So King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans took out 880,000 enemies? By that logic, are we to beleive Persians have any kind of hope against the larger Spartan army?

Fun fact Delios was thought by many in Sparta to be a coward because he left Leonidas and it’s said that at the battle of Platea he slaughtered 10 Persians for every fellow Spartan he saw fall and others that survived said he was like Ares personified a literal whirlwind of death and died with his hands still locked around his spear and shield After this he was forgiven and venerated and laid to rest alongside the original 300 and his king Leonidas……
