I took a vacation there once and there are observation decks for the public along the canal's artificial lakes so you can watch. I saw a Los Angeles class nuclear sub go through. It was guarded with 4-5 men around the conning tower with rifles at all times.

I've only been on the cable cars once. I got lucky and managed to get on without the long line.

Cole was a great activity director. His replacement was not. I was sick with the “cruise cough” 3 different times on this cruise. I haven’t been sick since I got off the Island Princess. We still managed to have a great time and made many memories.
