Like, guys, I don't think he had a normal example of parents to behave with dignity with children. Maybe he knew how to handle children, but he didn't know how to handle teenagers. Imagine you lost your parents at the age of 8, the only more or less native person is your butler who tries to keep a professional. the distance, and you devote your whole life to how to hurt, but not to kill criminals. Grayson was his first ward, with the same traumatic event in the form of the death of his parents, but the difference is that Grayson had an accident in front of his eyes, while Bruce himself saw that the death of his parents was premeditated murder. All this also leaves its mark on them, from which their worldview differs. Moreover, as far as I know, teamwork with the Titans and, in principle, this whole teenage rebellion was planned by Bruce himself so that Grayson would find himself not as Robin, but as Nightwing.
