In Finland there is a folk belief that a bride should cry before her wedding, so she wouldnt need to cry in marriage. This song is one of those songs aiming to do that. I have sang one of theses songs to a couple of my friends when they were brides. Beautiful song, beautiful reaction. <3 I also sang lullabies to my babies. Shout out from Finland <3

This whole discourse is done by ignorant people. And also are these African people aware of how racist African countries have been to Indians? Indians have been targeted for their ethnicity in riots and systematically. Indians also remain Idi Amin days too. And since. Look up history. Africans here have been here for over 1000 years. Siddies are African. Malik Ambar was too. And they came with Islamic invaders as their slaves. So they were not very kind to natives. They were slaves of the invaders and worked for their political and religious cause. So their history here is of aggressor.
@thehawkseye34128 ай бұрын
You ran in to an idiot in Pune and you generalize it to rest of the country? India has it's problems but there is no systematic hate against black specifically. Yes most of the new words like N word are result of Internet and outside influence.
@Turmerick8 ай бұрын
this was not an isolated incident. it was a pattern i observed with a certain bunch of people. i guess they were all from IIIT, UP. and i've also had ex-colleagues who faced such discrimination, mostly from guys from UP/MP/Delhi. something fucked up is going on in these states. and i've not even mentioned the racism that north east indians face in India. being called chow Mein and what not. that would be a whole another video. wake the fuck up! stop living in denial!
@thehawkseye34128 ай бұрын
@@TurmerickYou see you have provided no specific context of what kind of "discrimination" it is and scope of it. But as a person who falls in to category of being a person from UP, MP, Delhi I say your claim is highly misleading and exaggerated. Even the whole drama about racism against north east people. A lot of it is exaggerated and some of it literally borrowed from media. What's your view on mass attacks on Indian in African countries that happen time to time? Isolated clash may happen in India but have we seen any large scale attacks on Siddies in India? Lahmadi Yemeni tribesmen, among many others, migrated to the subcontinent, mostly to join the Hyderabad State's armed forces. They are of African origin but most people do not even pay attention to this tiny fact of their actual origin. Do we see any discrimination towards these migrants? But we see Indian origin people being attacked in South Africa in recent time. I know how Indian origin people were forced out during Uganda. I remember when they were targeted in Fiji. I remember many other riots and attacks on them which get in news. It's just that Indians do now make that much noise over it as African people would. Or come closer to home and tell me about attack and killing of many Hindi speaking people in North east and eastern states? The whole insurgency and ethnic riot issues in North east? However, have anyone been targeted for their north eastern ethnicity and killed just for that in UP, MP etc? How many cases you can find where you can prove the race was the only reason of conflict? However sleeping labourer have been targeted and shot for being Hindi speakers in North east. UP and MP are not areas which attack people based on their ethnicity alone. It's highly likely to be another trigger if any such conflict arises. They do not systematically instigate hate for other people in this region either. Same cannot be said for regional politicians of North east or southern or Pune people. Shiv Sena has a lovely record after all. Having said that some times we may resent the attacks and racism our people themselves face in north east as well as southern stated. Including your lovely Pune. Do you realize North East is not the only area that has people with more Mongoloid features? North has a border with China and before that it was Tibet. We have similar people living all along the norther border not just in North east. We have Tibetans refugees living here. Some Chinese too. I remember there used to be a Chinese dentist shop when I was a kid. He put the word on the board of his shop as a brand of a sort. So clearly he didn't think people would hate him for it. So why would people target North east people for their features? On the other hand Hindi speaking people have been directly targeted there for decades. At times the racism is learned behaviour by new generation who seem to think shit talking and racist words make them look cool. There are always some idiots and bigots but it's nothing systematic and large scale racism. What people need to do is to talk to locals and respect the local living style and there maybe less clashes. I had many north eastern students in my college. However most of them kept to themselves. So there was very little interaction. A good number of them were in sports so the girls in sports knew them. But not rest of us. However personally I never heard anyone saying anything bad about them back then. So I really would like to learn from where the resent issue really generated from. How much is to justify and make people blind to attacks on Hindi speaker in North east?
@thehawkseye34128 ай бұрын
@@Turmerick BTW I was personally harassed by an African guy on an internet forum just because I was Indian. For more than an year. I had put him on block so his posts became invisible to me. Ignoring him was the only thing I could do. He would make personal attacks on me and also put up new threads with any negative news about India and tag me just to provoke. It was around the time of that Gupta scandal there. And attacks on Indian origin people were also ongoing there. So I while sitting in India was being targeted just because. On the other hand I have met a couple of nice African people and had better experience. So I don't put them all in same basket. But I am very well aware the racist lot too.

No Kallu is not derogatory either. People actually named their children Kallu, Kaluram etc. Just like Krishna and Shyam which also means black or dark skinned one. If you have complex about your skin colour then it's your problem.

Not interested in ci a propoganda nonsense of divide and rule. Generalising all north indians and south Indians. India is least racist country were everyone greets others wit respect. Go to America France etc where people adress others by racist names, skin color, use racist slur

even people of north of india call each other on skin color, its not a big deal to pick it on international debate, besides these old indian emegrents are ignorant and naive about everything
