Matched all day, for life.....anytime I tried to play traditional, my _right_ hand felt more natural holding the L angle-- and I'm a right handed player 🤨🤨🤣

Macthed grip utilizes more muscles and equally with both hands, although I still use traditional out of habit. I saw Dave in Modesto, CA, forgot a drum clinic.

I hear ya on time in the day. Im LEFT HANDED. Went to a jazz program in college but played MATCHED GRIP..... WHY? i will tell you EXACTLY why. SCHOOL MARCHING BAND. EVERYONE HAS TO LOOK THE SAME.... So when learning snare drum in school band, i learned right handed traditional grip. Bye the time i started REALLY playing drum set, i did NOT see the POINT in learning LEFT HAND TRADITIONAL...FROM SCRATCH. NOT gonna happen.

JR, you have no idea how you changed my music trajectory. I've been a musician all of my life (a year younger than you) and tried several times to make my music with the instruments I knew. Then I got Drum Drops from a fellow musician and it was YOU... Rufus' drummer! I've listened to you ever since! Thanks for your playing and musicianship!!!

This is what might sound simple but is so technically and musically advanced that anyone and everyone drummer can get something out of this. The Groove and pocket on Larnell is so deep that you could find yourself entranced in his style. He works so well in both solo and group settings.

so when you say, nobody was doing it before.. how to understand this today in end of 2024? what will drumming be in 50 years? like barrock music and we all listen tomorrow AI generated drums? or what do you honestly think the development of acustic dreams if any will be in the net 50 years?
