..ohne eure Technik seit ihr verloren. Frag mal, ob ein Drumma von Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple oder Aerosmith mit so einem Scheiß gespielt hätten. Die konnten es halt einfach! Für mich vollkommen überschätzt der Mann.

Traditional grip was solely invented to play a drum on a sling. Yes I play that way but match comes first. It's a great grip to learn, but Dave and many others know if ya had to do it over again Match and open handed is thee best way to have total command. Cobham and Phillips...! Thee funniest thing about traditional is 99.9% of all traditional players - look at they're left shoulder it ALWAYS drops WAY DOWN because it's lol un natural! Maybe they should make a tilted stage so things will even out for traditional players ; ) Peace

Dave is the reason I learned to play traditional. I have been using match more with a rock covers band I am in recently though just for more power when not micd up properly!

Agree with Dave, to completely change grips at 60 (for me) would be pretty radical and adult life doesn’t allow time for full transition like that.
