@Extroversal I tried using her in beginning of my Umi Deck. The effect of Maiden of the Aqua is negated as long as there is a face-up Field Spell Card, so if my opponent plays one, she's no longer treated as Umi.

@Extroversal Usually, the tougher decks have a field spell that's made to help them succeed. Have you tried Lantern Shark? It seems no one recommends it but it can get the job of getting Kairyu-Shin out.

It's possible it seemed like Raidraptor was the most popular Deck in that event 😅.

@HagglingtheDirections General rule with Raidraptors special summon from the hand and use Raider's to avoid targeting. And why the hell did he take out his own card with Phantom's Claw?

@tonyhorn2762 Seems like he was trying to keep Raider's Knight alive by giving it the 1400 atk, possibly hoping to get a Rank-Up and recycling Raidraptor's Phantom Knights Claw for future use. But that's just my guess 🤔.

@HagglingtheDirections Then use Raider's Knight to rank up to Arc Rebellion. Give yourself a 3000 beat stick with protection from effects, he'll use Raider's Wing to protect from targeting.

@tonyhorn2762 Yeah, he could have made Raider's Knight with Wing as a material, but then I would have used Ice Dragon's Prison since it doesn't target.

@MoskalMedia Yeah, Tenpai is a real threat right now. One of those decks that you better not miss on or they will win. Umi Control is a deck that can really turn the tide, pun intended 😂. Everyone suggests There Can Only Be One, but honestly, it will do more harm than good in my opinion. Thanks it's one of the few Royals that I got that actually regularly used 🙂.

The fusions that list Fallen of Albaz are used for Decisive Battle of Golgonda, and the rest are there as bait for your opponents effects that mess with your Extra Deck. 😃

@krptoking4644 Yeah Duelist Cup brings out the worst experience in yugioh you either get swept if you try to have fun or play a higher tier deck. I feel like you can't give up on fun though so I play decks that I enjoy and if I'm winning sometimes I give them a chance to recover.

Love those traps they are both great! Love that they have more than one use. It's for Guardian Chimera since Melffy can meet the requirements pretty easily plus I like to think of it as an unofficial Melffy.

As many times as I am able lol, and thanks, Melffy is a great archetype. It's really fun.

I'm just glad The Zombie Vampire didn't hit any of their Tearlaments cards. Yeah Blue-Eyes Horus combo is pretty solid Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon adds great protection for your cards. I always use 6000 that I save up from the events this time however I used 7000 (because i really wanted Horus) got everything except 3 URs too bad Horus the Black Flame Deity isn't that great pulled 3 of him.

Yeah, Mellfy isn't an instant win the duels take time. I play a very disruption heavy version that can also be pretty defensive. Mikanko is a tricky opponent because they NEED a monster on your field to Win. Most of them run Kaijus so they can do high damage. Melffy is able to keep my field empty pretty well. Usually, when I Duel using Melffy, I need at least a basic understanding of what my opponent is playing to be effective against them 😅.

That's what I was thinking when it got summoned.

Yeah it's a fun deck and I'm planning to play my other decks once the event is over.

First time playing the deck it's pretty fun and has an interesting Gimmick, but has it's weaknesses and is a heavy investment.

@HagglingtheDirections may have to give it a go, yeah that's what turned me off was the number of URs 😵😵😵 I only ever built one deck (RDA) and since launch have just been trying to get everything royal so I have like no cards to dust and no UR dust hahahhaha

@jblocker118 Yeah, some decks go crazy with the URs. Dang all Royals that's winning in style. If you're curious about the deck and low on materials, why not make a new account and test it out on there it's really easy to do if you have a console like a Switch or PS4.

Honestly, I thought I was going to lose that one added Relinquished Anima just before that Duel so that helped but Number 97: Draglubion restriction really screwed me up 😅.

Meta is always challenging to face, especially if they are at full power. There is also such a thing as bad match-ups but experience helps when dealing with your opponents, I find disruption to be an effective play style. Understanding what they want to do is an important part to be able to cut them off effectively. A lot of people say traps are too slow, but you'd be surprised how effective Ice Dragon's Prison and Lost Wind can be at disrupting your opponents strategy. Then there's the Staples everyone plays honestly In my experience, they don't really do much when my opponents use them. I feel it's better to have cards that help you strategy instead of potentially useful cards. I've had duels where people had to summon a Maxx C or an ash because their opening hand wasn't good enough on its own to start their combo's.
