With all due respect to Matt. He is clearly just showing off. When lessons are given, the student plays as well, not just watches while the teacher rocks out.

You know how to triplet combination with a cross over, or paradiddle and kick with the cymbal! Now imagine all of thoses together in a groove. Matt proceeds to bless his drum kit.

Yeah hey hey! What a badass ringy, cranked up crackin’ snare!! YEAH!!!! and Matt has been my bread and butter or playing for a while now as I saw GNR live in April 92’ and inspired so much by his consistent power and tasty chops and great big tight snare sound! I love Steven Adler too, however Matt just took GNR to a new level of confidence and power (yeah, Pantera song). Such a great talent and even better guy and personality! He’s what a Pro should be! I finally know what he’s doing on the quick cymbal to snare work….it’s paradiddles of course! I thought he was doing some combo or 3s and 5s in polyrhythms, but nope! Great video and excellent playing! CHOP MASTER GALORE and nice with the John Bonham sweeps and triplets!! ROCK ON MATT SORUM!! And thank you for all you’ve done! LOVE YA!!!

Forget this guy man how's this guy that's learning how to play the drums gonna do that how stupid What a bad teacher .. Like I always say don't have a teacher learn to play the drums and learn your own style and your own way to do it until you ready to go out on stage and get in a band that's how you do it never have a teacher

I wouldnt be taking drum lesson from this guy. Hes not very good at all. He lacks in so many areas. Creative being a big one. Hes had the same solo for 30 years now. I knwo drummers do that but his solo is amatuer at best. If you know anything about drumming you know this.
