Hello could you tell more about the drum you are using?
@MikeListPercussionist Жыл бұрын
This is a 18 inch bendir from the Cooperman Drum Company. The strings are not engaged in this video so it sounds like a tar. It is tunable and has a plastic remo renaissance head on it. I usually tune this drum around a G but I don't remember what it was at for this video. Really great instruments. www.coopermanframedrums.com/

This is great! It sounds awesome if blended tastefully into the groove but is really tough. For me that is :) It looks pretty easy seeing you snapping and rolling the drum head off.....I better stop watching YT and go practice some more.

That finger snap looks real tough on the joints/skin to keep going with. Of course, you make it look fluid and effortless. I like the alternate two+two finger roll will practice on my doumbek. nice!

I do not see this drum available at the cooperman website. Is it a custom order, or did you adapt a cooperman tar somehow to hold an inner drum? Thanks.
@relapercussion38996 жыл бұрын
Yea it is not something they advertise too much as I think they are still kind of working on it. It is listed as "coming soon" under their "artist innovation series." If you email them or give them or call they can give more info. It is similar to the slapback.

The snap is much harder than the roll on the frame drum
