It’s two layers shorter. Removing the bottom-most layer won’t really affect gameplay that much (since revealing that layer ends the game), but the removal of the fourth layer will definitely cause some tweaks to gameplay.

It's really great. I have a couples of question. Firstly, Is it true if my meeple go to the tile that already has another meeple from my enemy in it ? .Secondly, in case i can go to the title has another meeple in it , i can excuvate that tile and whether i can use enemy's meeple as an archaeologist ?

Thanks for the video! On the very first play of the game, why are you able to search for free? I am looking at the Navigators ability and rule book and FAQ…but I can’t figure out how you get this free action with the first turn of the game. Can you identify the rule that allows this for me? I must be missing it.

Oh, is it just because the EP has been reduced to zero, so therefore it is “free”?

Further answering my own question…there is an “Author’s Note” on page 10 of the rule book under the Excavate action that explicitly calls out how you can excavate with 0 EP (or play snow tiles) even after you have spent 2 EP that turn.

Appreciate the video, but how much time does the full setup take? Not just the main board and tiles, but the player setup and tokens, etc. That was one of the main deterrents, preventing me from backing.

Count something like 3 min for the rest of the material! So definitely less than 10 min in total, but more around 7-8 min.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2WYlKWfh5VokNk isn't that incorrect? The rulebook says to place all explorers as evenly as possible and then a camp last. Meaning the explorers would all be separate and the camp placed where you want it?

Well seen, in fact here the archaeologists should be placed as evenly as possible as usual. In the previous version of the rules (and one of the very last changes made to them), following the use of the CryoArchitect ability, the rule stipulated that the camp had to be placed like an explorer, following the placement rule. It was just out of habit that I placed the explorers in this way, but it was definitely a mistake indeed!

C'est la batterie de la caméra qui nous a lâché 5 minutes avant la fin de la première journée... Mais comme cette prise était pas trop mal on a décidé de la gardé. 😅

Thank you for that video. Due the fact that the board was set up before you start filming: How do you set up the levels without discovering the type of the artifacts ? Is that even possible? Or if you have a really good memory, so after the setup and during the game, you remember where are the artifacts..?
