After actually spending a month with you on safari hunting and traveling over South Africa I can say without a shadow of a doubt that you are full of shit. Tell everyone how you left 2 outfitters still waiting for the tips that you promised to the cheff and the PH 2 months after leaving South Africa and still you haven't even paid for the animals that you hunted nevermind even the tips.

The 404 Jeffrey was never used in the British Army. It was used by British Military Officers for Hunting in their colonies in India and Africa, but other than that it was never used in the their military. It is a sporting rifle. Pure and simple.

Are you running a short action or long action? I am considering in building a 7saum for my new hunting rig with a macbros evo 2 but not sure if I need a long action since my state is lead free only. I don’t see my myself reloading anything higher the 150-160gr hammers anyway.

Great Bull and the Guide was absolutely correct in his advice on shooting this bull The guide was on point and seemed a humble gentleman there are better bulls out there but no promises you’ll even see one in a weeks hunting I shot a nice Bull a month back self guided went 108 sci and I was blessed to have come across him

How can you compare the difference between the shoellies and the barefoot in term's of comfort and daily use? I already have a pair of shoellies. Looking forward to buy a other pair or a African Rangers.
@mckenziesimexperience3 ай бұрын
Sorry for the delay in response. For me I think the Bare foots are a much more comfortable shoe for daily use they break in extremely quick and are like a well-worn glove. I just walked bare foot in mine in Africa for about 30 days and never got a sore and never had any issue with them. I really like my bare foots

Thanks for the advice. I’m talking to an outfit in SA. This will be my first African hunt. The property is 35,000 acres/ 50 square miles. Sounds big until you stop and realize thats only 7.25 miles X 7.25 miles. I want an up close and personal dagga boy hunt that is spot and stalk. My biggest concern is will this feel like a canned hunt? I’ve talked to the PH and he says that with these buffaloes in a high fenced area with lions preying on them and pressure from hunters, the stalk can be just as challenging as a free range hunt. What has your experience been in South Africa regarding fenced property? Since this is the first of what I plan to be several trips to Africa, does starting out in SA make sense for my first trip?
@mckenziesimexperience3 ай бұрын
Paul, So 35,000 acers is a big place especially if the terrain is broken up thick in places it will seem bigger. Look I just got done with a 30-day trip checking out new outfitters to take group hunts to and send folks to and we did a buffalo hunt in the Northern Cape, it was my first time hunting buffalo in South Africa on a private game ranch. It isn’t exactly the same as hunting buffalo let’s say in Zambia or Tanzania but nothing can match that unless your hunting massive areas but the experience was still a buffalo hunt at a very small fraction of what a buffalo hunt will cost in Zambia or Tanzania so you have to look at that its till a buffalo hunt not the same as a true wild Africa hunt but you get to experience hunting Africa’s black death for a much more affordable cost. Part of the property was just like hunting buffalo in the thick brush in true wild Africa and at times I almost forgot I wasn’t in Tanzania. How ever it was my wildest buffalo hunt ever and I have a video dropping Friday
