Hyde Park, Eddie V’s, and Monterey Bay don’t strike me as Mom and Pops. And while their food and service may be very good, these are frankly not memorable dining experiences. There are lots of restaurants like them. Anyone who’s looking for a very interesting menu and a truly memorable experience should check out Morcilla in Lawrenceville. One of the top 100 restaurants in the country with a fascinating tapas-inspired menu, a great bar with real Spanish cider on tap, and run by a true Mom and Pop.

Great place for sure. For me, I do not like tappas style so, that is probably why it did not make MY top 5 but may have made others. Thanks for the post!

@briansellspittsburgh The person filming said it smelled like a dog when he walked into the front room. I have a dog that I love very much, but my apartment doesn't smell like a dog. I've been in this apartment for 12 years, 10 and a half of which I've had the same doggo.

@briansellspittsburgh I have a sister and a mother with super sniffers who tell me when my apartment smells. For some reason, I can't smell a sour mop, but they sure can. They both have commented that they can't smell BooBoo. I think it's because he doesn't smell because I bathe him to keep his coat deshedded, and I have all tile floors with no throw rugs. Usually, people say my apartment smells like bleach.

I wish you would have done a walk through for the Primary Suite. It's a nice setup for visitors, live in workers like health aides, etc. If set up right it could even be a rental. It would have been nice to see its location on the first floor and what all there is in that suite. Besides the bedroom / living room and bathroom, is there a kitchenette?

So many beautiful cozy homes being knocked down to build these tasteless monstrosities. If you want a McMansion please move somewhere else and let us keep our historic houses.
