As a White person this disctrict is a absolute NoGo-Zone. Nigerian migrants occupied Sunnyside a few years ago and have their own territory there. If you visit that place as a white person you will be robbed and beaten even on day light times.

I lived in Sunnyside in the 90's, this is a shit tip compared to what it looked like. The streets were clean, it was safe to live there, it was neat, the shops were busy, when I look at this, it is destroyed compared to what it was. This is disgusting, nauseating and heartbreaking to see a beautiful place have deteriorated into rubbishville. I barely recognise some places so dilapidated and destroyed it has become. There is nothing left!!!! IT IS DESTROYED ...

21:30 beautiful waitress .Bocagrande at the night is safe but beware of certain streets because there are streets where there are a lot of sex workers who will come and talk to you and follow you.After all, the most beautiful women you can meet on the street are all in dolce vita street and delirium street in the historic center. Cartagena is a great place to have a good time, but a word of advice: don't look for love, because in the end you'll be the one to lose.If you speak good spanish, talk to cab drivers, shop assistants, waiters and waitresses in restaurants or with the locals, they'll tell you stories about the foreign men who have come to Cartagena looking for love.Just have a good time with the girls, keep some whatsapp in case you come back and that's it.Don't look for love and don't become a western union sponsor.

Im heading to Cartagena in 10 days and staying in Bocagrande. Looks pretty safe compared to Getsemani. Im looking to good restaurants (not sketchy) and rooftop places. There’s one called 7 Cielos that looks right. Anything you can help with is appreciated.

Try Parrilla-Bar ( Carrera 2 cnr. Calle 6 ). I always feel safe everywhere in Cartagena (walking solo in Mercado de Bazurto, Boca Grande at 4am, walking from el Centro to Getsemani back and fourth at 3am) without any problem, maybe I'm just lucky. But I heard a Dominican man was k!dnapp3d at gvnp0!nt in Boca Grande, Carrera 1 at night, while another tourist was scoped on the beach.
