So good to find this video , the manager at my job is a HUGE NARCISSIST who claims to be an ' EMPATH' , when I started working there he said " I'M AN EMPATH !!! " out of the blue , unprompted , and has said it several times over the last year , again unprompted , it is hilarious to me because I myself am a true empath / clairvoyant /psychic , he is extremely competitive /macho/ ' man's man ' , it is exhausting , today I found a stray kitten in the garage where we work , I set the kitten up with a towel in a plastic tub , gave it food & water , he ( the manager ) was all upset that I was taking care of the kitten , he kept going on how he " HATES CATS !!! ", I wanted to say " WOW , how nurturing & empathic of you ! "'

@ethanhitchcock5431 It is funny when people boast they are an empath when they are not. That is a red flag. 🚩 An empath would talk about their experiences rather than boast or declare who they are. I loved that you helped that kitten, that shows you are an empathic soul.🙏 Your manager's reaction shows his true colors as well. It can be challenging to work with a narcissistic personality. Beware 12 step programmes- i had 3 temp sponsors like this..in a row. Clearly as they need "supply". I saw a red flag when the last one said 2 disgustingly unempathic and selfish comments around her elderly male sponsor who has cancer: Complaints that: He kept her on the phone too long( i found her like this!! She even after discarding me after step 11..tried to call me @ 10.25pm!! 2) said he kept complaining about back pain. I was horrified. Im an ex terminal care RN . I told her this back pain was probably 2ndary bony metasteses in the spine From the Primary tumour which is a prostrate tumour. Disgusting behaviour. She then later said a few times how much of an Super Empath she is!! Yeah...Right!!! 🤣 Thank God she said she couldnt be my 12 step sponsor. She also said "Im not a narcissist!" Very weird behaviour!

This makes sense as any position of power can attract a person with narcissistic behaviors. Being a sponsor is a powerful position. When someone confides in their sponsor, it should be held in confidence. That makes this very sad. Being open to the red flags as you said, can help protect you. Hehe - there's a difference between deliberately pausing and procrastinating! With me, procrastinating can be a deliberate effort to avoid stillness (and also can be a bit exhausting) - so I get what that means. :) Thanks for a lovely video as ever. :)
