Unfortunately I don't have that model anymore. I will make a new one and let you know when it is on GrabCad. Thanks for watching my videos.

Oh, what a pity ! I’d be curious to know how you managed to make the 2-4 lines in the corner dependent on your parameters. For straight steps, I can do it with the rectangular grid, but it doesn’t work for corner steps. Could you clarify your method? That would be very kind of you 😊. I’m eagerly looking forward to your new contributions. Thank you so much for the knowledge you share!

I'm glad you like my content. To make your life more interesting while waiting till I make and publish new model, you can try to use pattern on path to divide walking line in equal parts( play around with that and maybe some ideas will show up :))
@MsMrPkr3 күн бұрын
But Pattern along path exists only in solid mode, and not in sketch mode.. Am i wrong ? Thank So much for your last reply 😊
@scalelegno3 күн бұрын
Yes, you are right it's not available in sketch ;)

I coudnt see how you creted your rails woud be good to see this part
@scalelegnoАй бұрын
As rails I used geometry of first part of the model, it was made as a surface, that gives better result when using a loft for solid body.

Can this export to CNC?
@scalelegnoАй бұрын
Yes, it is possible to make cnc files on Fusion 360. But it does not make them automatically as some big brand cad/cam furniture software.

How did you define the path parameter?
@scalelegno4 ай бұрын
Hi, easiest way is to use Pythagorean theorema. Path = sqrt(rise ^ 2 + run^2) Thanks for watching.

Aye I really like this video! Is there a way you can make a video explaining how you managed to change the number of drawers with the parameters? I started just learning the parameters tool and have created a basic cabinet model but am struggling with the drawers... Thanks!

This is the most complicated tutorial I have ever seen
@scalelegno10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I would like to say this video is detailed not complicated. Idea is to show how to create parametric, adjustable stair model. If it was just for a fixed size stairs it would be a lot simpler of course.
@michalstejskal886410 ай бұрын
Hello, when you change the L1-3 parameter, same the height parameter, the height of stairs between those 3 sectors is different and that is quite dangerous. Try to go upstairs on variable stairs height, I bet you kick off your leg thumb if not worst. I would better to use variable for all the floor height /divided stairs. Good work anyway and thank you for sharing
@scalelegno10 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. In this example I am trying to show endless possibilities of Fusion 360 and parametric modelling. Adjusting each flight separately does not exclude option to make the rise equal on all sections. Of course, to design a perfect stairs you need to make sure that rise is the same on whole staircase, if possible.

When a rectangular pattern is in a sketch it is non parametric. Sketch, extrude , rectangular pattern, offset plane, sketch,........ seems like a better workflow that is parametric.
@scalelegno Жыл бұрын
This is just a one simple example how to make a simple stair pattern, yes you are right it won’t be fully parametric but it is quick and simple for someone to learn and understand possible solutions. More solutions for fully adjustable stairs you can see in my other videos. Thanks for watching.

I’ve been playing around a bit with cabinets and parametric settings. I just can’t figure out how to have multiple drawers at different sizes with one model and one set of parametric settings. For example, two big drawers at the bottom and two smaller at the top. Then changing the amount of drawers too 6 smaller only and so on. Right now I have a ton of different models with some basic parametric settings. It would be nice to just have one base model.
@scalelegno Жыл бұрын
I think, that kind of universal cabinet will be over complicated with bunch of parameters and formulas included. And there will be always more chances to break the model. For example, you won’t be able to use patterns to lay out your drawers because each drawer need to have parameter for its height. There is a chance to play around with( if) function. It may work, but in my opinion two or three cabinet models will be more useful and chances to break them are smaller than in one very complicated model. Especially if you are using joints and motions for your drawers. Anyway, thanks for watching and giving a new task, I will look into this and see, maybe something comes out.

I agree, it is a little bit unclear, just trying to save time :) You can see, I used push pull tool to offset faces just to connect those two components, after then, using combine tool I joined them together in one component. let me know if this makes sense, otherwise I will make another short video about this. Thanks for watching.
