Really a fantastic video! Was looking to buy one for my daughter. I am fine with nimh only question is how to gain a little more speed when the time comes. Can you recommend a brushed motor and pinion to get it up to roughly 20 to 25 mph? Thank you for all the information.

I just bought this yesterday, it's an absolute beast. If you use the S3 5000 battery it's uncontrollable. It's so fast.

Body aside, it's the same piece of junk it was 10 years ago. And it was a HSP Chinese clone back then. If you run it on 3s it will self destruct before your very eyes. The Blackout was home grown and is a much more durable truck. The TRMT10E makes it a laughing stock. And the Volcano is NOT not cheap, I just saw it at Amazon with cheap Zee batteries and a Redcat charger for over 300 dollars. I'll take a Hosim X07 any day for 199. Sorry to rain on your parade. Sorry, I'm referring to the Volcano pro brushless.

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced Val ky ree. Not Val key ree. My daughter is named Kyrie and it's pronounced Ky ree. Even before realizing it was her name with Val in front I've always thought the word was commonly pronounced the same.

I think with the addition of a Gyro. It will definitely make this truck more enjoyable.
@boduke94283 ай бұрын
I don't think a gyro will completely solve it. It has a shocking amount of wheel scrub when the front suspension compresses. I was very disappointed when I took it out of the box and pushed down on the front. Mine came with the toe really out of whack and was really bad looking. Even after correcting the toe is still a lot more wheel scrub than any of my big name trucks have. Even the cheaper models from other brands. My Gorgon has virtually no tire scrub but very similar amount of suspension travel. The Valkyrie is similar to my Omni Terminator in how much the tires point out at the bottom on shock travel. It's not as noticeable on the Rlaarlo. I suspect because it's a smaller rig with much better quality shocks than the Redcat. I ordered tires for my Redcat before it was even delivered but what I should have been looking for instead is replacement shocks. I still really like the truck and don't regret buying it but it definitely needs some improvement in the suspension department right out of the box. I've heard that the Typhon 6s shocks are the same length as the Valkyrie. I'm not hiring a ramp or doing any real bashing with mine until I replace the shocks. Hopefully someone will make aftermarket arms that also improve the stock suspension. It's not a perfect truck but I can forgive a lot for so much it gets right for only $300.

@@boduke9428do you mean that the body was rubbing on the wheels when the suspension was down?

Although this is a 4s Capable truck, my type of RC'ing for this Truck tends to be in the 2S operation, in which I think longevity should be good.

@@NoodlesNJ1 2s performance is good. Gives options for beginners. Or you can run 4s in 50% power mode. Will improve wear and tear.

Incase anyone runs into this problem it’s not a “grease shield” or anything like that. The problem is the way they glued the stuffing tube in the hull. The stuffing tube then spins around kinks the flex cable and melts the front of the stuffing tube mount where it holds it in. The black crap all over is the “glue” they used burning and turning black and smoking.

Exactly what happened to mine the day it was released. I just finally fixed it this past week. Horizon didn’t wanna get me the parts to fix it either. Was a total turn off I didn’t even get to run it for 30 seconds.

It is now February 2024. I just dropped Red Cat racing because they stop putting parts sheet and break down sheets of their trucks in the boxes. That is just stupid ,you have to have those sheets so you can order a part when you break them out.

Yes. I like a paper manual too. They do have them on their website as PDFs. Other manufacturers are doing the same thing.
