Get a top box where you need a key to lock it and keep that key on the same key ring as you starter key. I went on my first motorcycle camping holiday from Denmark through Germany, Switzerland and France to Monaco with my girlfriend riding pillion in 1979. I'm surprised how many difficulties young people have today doing simple things. Now everything is an "adventure" - even riding from bnb to bnb - and everybody posts their holiday on KZbin. Bring your girlfriend next time. Riding two up is so much more fun! Ride safe!

Nice! It always bothered me why I couldn't take the key out of my Givi trekker while it's unlocked, today I learned there is a reason for that 😆

You probably can take the key out while it is open and press it closed without the key 🤔 At least, that's how I did it 😆

What do you mean 2,5 viewers? Clearly 3.5. About the packing, I transpoted my bike by strapping a few times, never ever never have straps on the seats. I still have a permanent mark, that comes out with temperature changes. Bye the way is that bike comfy on long rides?
@wheelsaroundtheworld
@wheelsaroundtheworld 18 күн бұрын
Hah, might have miscalculated slightly :D Regarding the straps - they are strapped around the side case metal brackets, don't even touch the seat ;) Overall the bike is very comfortable thanks to the almost upright seating position and aftermarket ''comfort'' seat. For longer rides a higher windshield would be a major improvement. I'm 1.90 and opposing winds on highways sometimes make me feel like a human parachute (although it's surely more sheltered than any naked bike).

Thanks! I'm trying to cut out any empty spaces, even if it means having more ''jump cuts''. It's a GSX1250FA ;) A joy to ride, but it is a bit thirsty... I don't think I'm getting much less than 8L/100km... Theoretically, if riding calmly on the highway, it should be able to do 6L/100km.

they don't really care about small vehicles of any locals. They don't notice tourists as anything different. If you have a large vehicle then they will not mess with you cause they have to get hurt by doing that.

The lever on the left is the manual starter. If you're stuck between gears you can use it rather than rocking the machine back and forth like you'd do on a scooter. You can also use it to start the engine if the battery's dead by putting it in neutral and pulling up quickly. A lot of autorickshaws have reverse as a separate lever on the right side.... and in India the linkage is often broken so you have to get out and push.

0:23 twist hand gear shifter is common with early vespa scooters that dont use a CVT. Thats why Indian auto rickshaw carried this over from Italy when manufacturing started in india. Here in the Philippines some converted to foot clutch.

I think it could be due to more difficulty extending drive shafts - they have to be precisely balanced after welding in an extra segment to prevent vibration. A pretty high-tech procedure, that not every workshop has.. Perhaps the reason isn't technical at all - it just became their style
@Russianmafia10
@Russianmafia10 8 ай бұрын
@@wheelsaroundtheworld I'm guessing style, after market drive shafts are common everywhere, also a V-block makes welding 2 cylinders in line not super difficult.

Fuel tank was originally in th3 rear, ahead of the engine and behind the rear seat bulkhead. Seats are featherweight fibreglass and are extremely comfortable. I would love another one but they are almost if not completely extinct in the UK.
