Yes, thanks for the video. I bought a cheaper, yellow, RG6 cutter and it "didn't cut it." It cut too much actually.

My question would be if these wires are all different pairs how about you explain how do you know what side of the cable you're squishing into the connector turn the cable upside down everything is wrong maybe I'm looking at this wrong but I don't see why people don't explain this part

Ahhh... I literally just spent an hour sketching this great idea I had that was going to change the RJ45 game and you guys have already designed and fabricated it!! :D It all started with thinking "holes on a RJ45 connector..." I've actually come up with another idea which I haven't seen anywhere else... yet.

The technique can be improved. The part where the EZrj45 bucks the die is the first thing I noticed. If you cut them shorter you they will line up as the connector enters the die and pass through the opening in the back under the blades without hanging up and requiring the extra step to twist them. The cladding trick is good but the lineup of the conductors can also be done faster and easier. Considering doing a video to demonstrate but.... Why would I give away my secrets for free to youtube and the world?

I cut the r59 coax center cable connector about 3/16 inch at an angle, and used the connector itself as a length guide (for the center connector). i also used the rest of the connector to measure how much i should "push" in the entire coax cable into the bnc connector as well. I made sure the copper shielding was entirely out of the way. I used the same compression tool that you did. The r59 cables are used on a vanguard 16 camera security system. By cross wiring / troubleshooting I have determined that both the camera and wire leading to my connection is good (connects to other cables and delivers a signal). So I know my camera is good as well as the wire leading from my connection to the PC is good. It's the connection. I have tried several different compression fittings. It always shows up as a bad (no signal connection). I am 100% sure its r59 and not r6 (requiring red - colored connections). I've tried cutting the connector a little long than 3/16, exactly 3/16, and less than 3/16 (maybe down to a 1/4". I'm crimping, cutting, and recutting the connection several times and running out of spare wire (from the wall). I've rebooted the PC and reloaded the software. It's my connection. When installing I make sure I have a good center wire connection and can feel it go into the fitting in the center of the connector and gently push the wire into the center fitting (you can feel it when you are centered). What am I doing wrong? Any insight would be helpful and tried. What say you? Thanks Mark

Mark, I don,t claim to be an expert but from the picture it looks like the center solid copper wire isn't long enough to make a good connection in the opposite fitting. I know the twist and lock connectors require a little different proportions than the screw together ones. Hope this helps! Lester

Where did you come up with that 3/16" of untwisted pairs? This page on CAT6 specs shows 1/2": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_6_cable. The ANSI/TIA-568-C standard shows 1/2" as well.

Why potentially waste one of these expensive connector plugs? If one was to properly prepare the plug and then perform the test, they would not waste the connector if it passed the "pull" test.

Are these cutters also good for cutting and stripping through BX/Romex cables? Also of electricans use similar cutters but with two circle slots on the head. I'm curious as to how these will work in the same application.
