I don’t have them anymore but I have used these one’s and they are really good (and free) learn-more.getmxu.com/free-multitracks

This is GREAT!!! We have the Avantis at FoH and the SQ5 in Livestream and I have been looking for an "easy" way to use the SQDrive to do virtual sound check on the SQ5 from the SQDrive. Using scenes is a great way. Thank you.

Glad it was helpful! I also have a scene setup to quickly change where our livestream audio comes from. Normally we have someone mixing livestream on a DAW and I have that tielined through the mixer but if I can’t find a someone I use a scene to flip from tielines to the output of a post-fader mix on the SQ.

It’s very confusing.

Anything in particular? Maybe I can make a video to help explain that better

Can the multitrack recordings be used with the SQMixPad software OFFLINE? In other words, can I make a multitrack recording live on the console (to an SSD drive) and then somehow connect that multitrack file into SQMixPad on a PC and listen to the result on headphones?

No. No audio passes through the app, either on an iPad or a PC. You would need the mixer to play back the tracks. Or you could mix them in a DAW but you can’t use the app that way.

@@upliftaudio Thanks! I realized the ignorance of my question a few hours after asking. The app only acts as a "remote control" for the desk. It would be like expecting your TV remote to show you media content independent of the television. Thank you for the reply!

Thank you for this video, I have been trying to understand this compression thing to use on our church SQ6...

You're welcome, hopefully this made it easier to understand

One thing I struggle with is gain when recording multitracks via USB and DAW and playing them back from the DAW. They are recorded at a much lower level and when I playback, I'd need to adjust the gain for the channels, but that's not really the goal of a virtual soundcheck, is it? ;)

I don’t know how you are setting your gain but if you are not then you should be trying to average 0 dB on the meter. This unfortunately would be -18 dBFS in most DAWs which can be a bit low. You can boost the signal level in your DAW if it isn’t enough signal when playing it back.

This is helpful as a SQ 5 user and new mixer to music. Thanks.
