Looks beautiful. I have a large lot as well, and will have to spend money on landscaping to eat up the grass.

Impressive video, Mike The Retired Plow Guy. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I hit the thumbs up symbol on your content. Keep up the wonderful work! The transformation of the landscaping looks fantastic! Have you considered any specific maintenance strategies for the Robellini palms to ensure their healthy growth in your climate?

Thanks, Barbara for the kind comment. I see what you mean about looking bigger. It definitely made a difference in the yard size. I cut my grass yesterday for the first time and it took me a lot last time because of the corners the wasted spaces around it. We definitely love it.

Hi Mike my husband and I are from Sheboygan, WI and just moved to Moultrie Creek 2 weeks ago. Who did your landscaping? I've had 2 contractors come out to give me estimates. We also don't like the St. Augustine grass!! It's so crunchy to walk on! I want to put stones in the front yard and also put in a small palm tree in my back yard, I love those robellini trees. Funny my husband sold his plow truck up north so he can buy a golf cart...lol I enjoy watching your videos!

Hey there, the name of the landscaper is Edwin Lopez. P and E landscaping phone number 352-361-9037. We seen his work in the neighborhood and he’s very well spoken and knows what he’s doing. Everything I’ve seen him do is excellent. Boy it sure is different down here than Sheboygan isn’t it? We do miss Neenah but I can’t imagine going back to the cold ever again😀 thanks for watching the videos👍

Thanks for asking Jim. We were fine here very little rain believe it or not and just wind but did not even take down any palm trees around here. there’s a lot of trees here that are called self cleaners. They shed their palms in storms like that so it’s always a mess after windy storm but that’s it. Thanks again for asking and watching the videos.😀

I just came across your channel, I will look back at your other videos. Love your Tv entertainment center and furniture! And also Love your flooring! What area are you in?
@miketheretiredplowguy18346 ай бұрын
Thank you for all the kind words. We also love the tall pine when we started looking at homes. It’s the perfect lay out in our opinion also. The way the entertainment center fits into the wall gives you extra space in the room making it seem bigger. We bought that entertainment center locally at a furniture store. The birdcage was an ad on. When we purchased our home, we wanted a third garage and a pool lot big enough to expand our footprint because we did downsize from what we had up north. Since we live outside during the winter here the birdcage was a perfect add-on the added pool lot so we could do that. Thanks for watching the videos and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.😀

Thanks for the nice words. We took the builders plants out and had a landscaper pour the edging and we picked out the plants and planted them. We had this type of poured edging back up north and I love it for weed whacking and looking extremely neat. We’re getting close to getting the back done, we will definitely make a video of that. Thanks again for watching.😀

3 year anniversary of living in the villages, any regrets? Would you do anything differently regarding where you live or the home you selected? I'm buying a home in the Villages next month. Nervous about making the right decision. Thanks.
@miketheretiredplowguy18346 ай бұрын
No regrets. What would I do different? I think we would have probably have brought a veranda home. they have a fence. Having a puppy, it would be more handy as far as letting him out and stuff like that. I think also I would’ve tried to get a little farther away from the turnpike. When the wind is right, I can hear it and it does bother me a little bit. Other than that, I definitely made the right choice. Do you have any questions? Feel free to throw them my way I’ll do the best answer for you.😀

Yes, it is a tall pine. They do have other names for the same layout. If you build towards Middleton, it’s called a hula hoop believe it or not lol. If you’re looking to build one and I think there is a model that’s tilt wall construction but I’m not sure what the name is for that. Your agent will be able to show you different examples. The tall pine is a very popular model and we love the layout. I’m sure you’re going to have a great time when you come down. Thanks for watching the video.😀
