Hi Alex - When I unplug the dryer and plug it back in, I get dr 04.00 DS flashing and I cannot power up the machine. Any idea what that is? Thanks! It's a residential stacking washer/dryer. It goes off after a while and I can use the machine Strange...

Hello Steeve. It is ok. It is not people friendly, I installed a few in a Bldg I have and tenants dont get use to it. It is kind of weird to operate them. I prefer this one that is not programmable but you can get it programmable. www.amazon.com/dp/B000GGPMZ6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

So if the grease in the splines of the agitator bell are washed out, then plastic shaft spline seal fails, the water just slides down the inside of the rubber seals down the shaft, down over the top bearing and through it, then down to the lower bearing, and then out onto the transmission. The only thing stopping water from moving under the water agitator bell is the small amount of grease you added to the splines of the agitator bell. The plastic spline seal that fits around the threads of the shaft for the hex nut seal, and the hub sitting on the rubber seal are both not using any sealant to fill small spaces water can travel into. Which is how water was able to get down into the shaft. In reassembly pack the hub under the top bearing with a hard to wash away waterproof grease that does not degrade plastic or rubber. Use the grease around the base of the plastic spline seal as well to keep water from moving past and starting the rust seen around the threads. Before installing the agitator bell, also apply grease between agitator bell and top bearing to shaft and seal to keep water from sliding by. The areas in the hub left ungreased leave plenty of room for water to move by. If one chooses, use a bead of waterpump rtv at the top of the nut then push it into the nut and threads with finger before installing agitator bell. As it will move out to of the way with a pick the next time you want to remove the hex nut, but will create a seal and disallow water from moving between the hex-nut and shaft.

Alex I have a question on my refrigerator it's a GE refrigerator but anyways as far as the fan on my refrigerator well on the bottom back right side across the compressor it turns off out of nowhere and either I have to disconnect the refrigerator itself or also I mess with the electrical box turn it off the refrigerator and the kitchen switches well I'm just asking what does that mean if you know?
@alexthehandyman3494
@alexthehandyman3494 8 күн бұрын
HELLO there!! The condenser fan motor runs only when the compressor is running. And it should stop when the compressor stops. If the compressor is running and the fan is not, then more than likely the fan is at fault. Replace the fan motor soon other wise the next thing to go will be the compressor. It needs that fan to cool off . The fan motor is seizing and goes on internal overload. It gets too hot. When you disconnect the fridge the fan motor starts to cool of and then it turns on again .

I have 15 of these in my house and I cannot believe you didn’t bring up or talk about the only reason every single one of mine break every time The thermal cut off switch sticks on cutting the power off over and over again. It gets old and then flips on, even though it’s not too hot. And then it stays on. These switches are junk and ruined these heaters. It is the only part on the heater other than the heater element that is extremely necessary to talk about you could do a whole video on this switch along.

Shouldnt that be a 20 amp braker ?
@alexthehandyman3494
@alexthehandyman3494 11 күн бұрын
Hello Joel. We have 14 ft of baseboard at 250 watt per foot. that's 3500 watts. The 20 amp allows 20 x 240 =4800 - 20%= 3840 watts. A 20 amp breaker would be sufficient? yes It would be very close to the 80%. So 20 amp (as a minimum allowable).Yes!! But it has a 30 amp breaker with 10 gauge wire. Which is totally fine. You still have another 2200 watts available . So can you put one 60 watt light bulb on a 30 amp circuit? Yes of course!! It is safe? Yes! " So the question is not : shouldnt be a 20 But is the 20 ok?. yes it its. Thank you so much for your question. I hope I made sense.

Thank you so much. Oh my goodness. It's so difficult to find videos on fan coils. 😢 Where is the drain pipe? Is the safety switch also connected/can it be connected to the drain switch?
@alexthehandyman3494
@alexthehandyman3494 16 күн бұрын
Hello. Go to min 10.30. It has two main drains. One to each side of the drain. You chose one . Most units I see do not have a switch to kill the power if it clogs and overflows. Usually is just a hose as a drain. That’s because there is no room for anything but you can have one installed if you want to avoid costly damages by water When they clog they make a mess . Thanks for watching.
