Wow President Odinga who was never president of Kenya, what a missed opportunity to be lead by such a great leader. Long live my president, 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 🇿🇦 ❤❤❤

They didn't need to nationalise anything. Socialism has failed everywhere it has been implemented. It's not natural. Period! Yes, no one wants to be poor, but what makes poverty an injustice? The public sector doesn't have the capacity (human capital, freedom of ideas, and to think, innovative, and the drive to implement) to build anything. Unfortunately, it continues to sound great to young people, mostly because they do know about its history of devastating failures. The "Free Market" is natural, and it has raised billions of people out of poverty. In the process, it has built the fantastic world we live in today. The aggregation of individual knowledge and decisions is a thousand times better than collectivism. Giving a few unqualified, egoistic people, the task of making decisions for millions of people is a recipe for disaster. That is Socialism and it fails at the time!

Is it tour of Africa or tour of Kenya? The Kenyan Coat of Arms is constantly in the background until he jets out. He was a good guy though... Advocated for peace. He died last year at the age of 100.

Some context would be great; Context of the interview? British then Nigerian troops on Tanganyikan soil? Revolution from Zanzibar? Was this before the federal Union?
@Lingz3110 күн бұрын
There was a Mutiny in Tanganyika. Tanganyika decided to disband her Army ( inherited from colonial masters) and build a new one. During transitional period, British and Nigerian troops filled the Vacuum as armed forces for the country.

@Lingz31 thanks, I didn't know about that. Was this before or after the Biafran civil war....I thought the Nigerian army would have been occupied with that at the time?

Now, these caliber of leaders is nowhere to be found in africa. Admitting a mistake takes a lot of courage. All we are seeing now, especially in Kenya, is the complete collapse of moral and judicial authority. Corruption every other week, and no one ever resigns on moral grounds. A few small fry are normally hounded into courts for public entertainment. Next week, its Harambees in churches where millions are dolled out under the guise of offerings. Rarely does the preachers ask where the money is coming from. Am yet to see a priest reject these millions on the grounds that they come from suspect or corrupt deals. Hope to see president ruto admit at least one mistake in the next three years.

Why is it, that African leaders only know what to do when they leave office ? They should do the right things whilst in office !!!!!! They can laugh about their bad choices because, whilst the masses suffer because of their actions, they can retire to their luxury homes built with state monies !!!!! What a BLUNDER !!!!!!!!!

I was 12 years. We watched the funeral on TV. We didn't have electricity by then. My father ensured that w had enough batteries for TV. There was no school in my township from that Tuesday.
