Sooo wait what? Time stops at the speed of light? 🤔 So time moves opposite the speed of light because faster than light means backward in time? So when light stops time is moving at the speed of light. So what your saying is time and the speed of light are moving away from each other? I'm sorry but this is not true! Time doesn't speed up or slow down and when time stops means the end of everything. Time is the creator! True time we can not comprehend. For anyone to compare earth time to anything in the universe when the universe does not compare anything according to earth means we have a very long way to go. Einstein got it! He just couldn't figure it out. Math is key to the universe but not math according to earth! Think about it!

but one moment at the time of the big bang is equivalent to an eternity in our time - if time is the rate of change of the relative forces between objects or fields; (its got be be one of these - it cannot be defined in any other way) So there was ample time for god We seem to constantly screw up our understanding of the forces of the universe by needless grasping onto our very human perceptions and interpretations of the natural phenomena that we "observe". In a relative sense, time almost stopped after the big bang. Se are on the edge of a very slow tail.

What about those folks who claim they see Vishnu or other spirits or gods when they've had a near death experience? I'm sure the majority of you would not accept them as being true. First of all, there is nothing called time. And the perceived time (invented by man) wouldn’t stop at the speed of light.(around 3,00,000 km/sec.) For example, hypothetically, if earth revolves around the Sun at speed of light (photons) whatever the time taken (the distance covered for one revolution from a given point, whether few seconds or minutes or hours) can be considered as an year (not 365 1/4th days). So, I personally can’t perceive the “so-called time stopping and am open/like to understand or get enlightened on this. Thank you and wish greatly blessed happy times to all😊❤️🙏🙌 GOD BLESS all

If what Neil says is true then having seen this photon today, what photon will I see tomorrow? If an object is speeding away from me at the speed of light then a photon will be emitted back towards me. Since time has stopped for the object, because of its speed, then only one photon will be emitted. A 2nd photon, a moment later, will not exist because no time will have passed. When I 'see' this object, the photon will have been adsorbed by my retina and ceased to exist. But tomorrow I will look at the same object again and see that time for it has not passed. Am I seeing the same photon, again?

@@100PercentTaxes Woah there fella. The Roman Catholics horribly distorted the Christian Tradition in many ways. The Catholic Church is the ongoing legacy of the tyrannical Roman Empire. The Church brought education to the masses, but through a corrupt lens of power, with misogyny and judgemental confessions and absolutions, encouraging celibacy for the men who chose to be evangelical. If you put a Church above a belief system it becomes a cult (following, even by force), not a religion (belief system, by choice and understanding).

@@100PercentTaxes Actually Jesus was a man. Though it seems rude to use the Latin version of his name given that the Romans were the oppressors of his people. You will find that Hashem is the name by which people refer to God in the Abrahamic tradition. In Messianic scripture, "Jesus" sits on the right hand of God (the right hand being the concept of judgement). Be careful not to put judgement at the top of your hierarchy of value (God) because He is a jealous God, as I said, you should not put any other gods before me (יהוה). Curiously, the "name" of God in Hebrew is a concatenation of "I was, I am, I will be". And has for thousands of years referred to existence of _everything_ throughout all time. That said, if string theory is correct, you need 10 dimensions, not the basic 4 we can perceive. The "tree of life" is a construct of 10 "spheres" where we exist in the physical realm only in the lowest sphere. Coincidence? Maybe. Or perhaps Abraham's "sefer yitzrah" from almost 4000 years ago was on to something. Yes, the definition of "God" is not a consistent understanding accross all people, far from it.

A superior being as a real entity is not consistent with what we know sociologically about symbolic behavior. God is without doubt a social invention based in social rituals. We know the processes that lead to this invention. Bring sociology into this conversation and stop leaving the question in the hands of physical and natural scientists and philosophers.

Is sociology a science? It's entire premise is that society exists, which is inherently a construct, not a physical thing. If society exists, does sound exist? Or Music even? Does good exist?
