@@jackgross3140 Thank you for that information. I had finally figured it out, put the bumper cover back into place and then realized I had forgot to put the center impact absorber back in place. That turned out not to fit right in the new bumper cover. I then had to put the distronic unit back into a locked position while trying to do it without a clear view. Now the entire bumper cover on the passenger side doesn't fit right and some gaps look bad. Back to the drawing board.

I don’t believe anyone has tried to fix this car already, it was brought to me in this state 👍

Make sure you have removed the E torx but that screws down from the top and the 10mm nut on each side holding the thin section of the bumper in place

Hey! Thanks for the feedback 🙏 the sensor that was disconnected here was for the pedestrian protection system, some cars will have this and some do not depending on specification options!

Is there any part number which i can use to search for those sensors as i think i dont have them install as i have an aftermarket front bumper

@@redec13 Open your bonnet and have a look at the bonnet hinges and see if it has the actuators, if it doesn’t have them and there is an empty space it’s more than likely your car doesn’t have the pedestrian protection system. I actually have a W176 A class and my one does not have it

@jackgross3140 i have scan the ecu and have found 2 errors B273787 and B273687 impact sensor has a malfunction. Thank you for your time and attention man.

Correct there are no 10mm bolts behind the panel in the trunk. Just needs a firm pull to release the clips

Hi thank you for the comment! Unfortunately I didn’t make any money on the rebuild in fact I only just broke even. I just haven’t had the time to make a video breaking everything down sorry!

There are adjusters that can be wound up and down on the front panel to adjust how high or low the bonnet sits against the top section of the bumper, they are rubber stoppers. the only real adjustment on the bumper at the top is in and out using by slacking off the T25 torx screws along the top under the bonnet, hope this helps

It’s an impact driver from flex tools with an adapter for a 1/4 drive 10mm socket

Trim clip removal pliers

If the bumper is already painted and just needs swapping over I would charge an hourly rate for labour of around £65 per hour

Hello, I am unsure of the exact size but you can use multiple different tools to remove them as long as you remove the middle part first, flat head screw driver would work

No worries, also a good tip is to spray them with WD40 as it helps the middle part slide out without bending or breaking!

Just double sided tape for the rest of it, be careful not to bend the trim

Apply pressure outwards and wiggle up and down at the same time and the tape will be released

Hey, it is an extra deep 10mm socket to remove the 10mm nuts. You can tape a couple of deep 10mm sockets together if you don’t have a super deep one

@@jakegrace79no worries! They are usually not very tight from the factory, just tightly wrap some tape around the two sockets and it should fit over the threaded bar👌

Daughters had the car 3 years , suddenly noticed wet rear carpets . Bit of searching and found it may be the 2 air vents behind the bumper ( hence your vid being handy !) . Gonna replace them , in your opinion is this likely to be the problem ??

@@jakegrace79 hey thanks for the feedback! 100% the rear vents will be the cause of this as it is a common issue with the 176 A class! Most, if not all of them will have been affected with this problem by now. You can use silicone sealant to seal around them to prevent any water coming in

Great video, I want to get my front bumper re sprayed, I was quoted £750 by a garage to do it, this “included” re calibrating the radar and anti collision sensors, would this need done if the bumper is completely removed from the car. Thanks.

Yes exactly the same

The A45 AMG have an additional air duct that is secured with 3x 8mm fasteners on the under tray that needs to be removed first, other than that it is identical to the process in this video
