Not a huge deal, but as the former tech writer for Adobe Premiere Pro, that is called the "HOME" screen. The "SPLASH" screen is the screen that appears when you first launch the app. It has an a photo of something (usually) abstract and all the credits from Adobe Developers. Feel free to call it what you wish, though, all good. I appreciate your tuts, sir. You're a true legend.

I believe you can sign up for a free account which gives you 2 free screenplays. If you are on a PC, I have the Celtx Desktop app, which I believe still works just fine. Would you like me to send you a download link?

Hey-- thanks for watching. Adobe Premiere is the most widely used editing software right now. If I work on a professional project with a team, I need to be proficient with it to be hired. If a post-production manager has chosen to use it, I have to be familiar with it if I am to be hired as an editor. I know it costs money (and there are some great free alternatives out there), but businesses tend to go with Adobe, since most of their apps work well together (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, etc.).

@chinfat9 күн бұрын
I get comments from both sides that I "speak too fast" and others tell me to "speed it up". I recommend using the speed change function that KZbin has to offer. It will slow down the video to .75% or .50% or you can make your own custom speed, and it does it very smoothly. That feature is called "Playback speed" and it is found under the gear icon at the bottom-righthand portion of the video window. I know I can't please everyone, but I hope that helps.

Guys, if someone have a problem with selecting LUT in Effects Tab (If you click "Select" and selecting preset it is selecting as "None"), just don't create a preset trough relating icon, use existing Quicktime preset from the list of system presets, then click on him RMB "Create encoding preset". Then you don't need to change "Format", which is causing this problem. Hope I helped someone. Author thank you for your tutorials !

Hi Chinfat. I have been studying with you since I first started out years ago. I'm working ad a professional now. Thank you. I wanted to ask what you think of the editing consoles. I really want and think I can benefit from one. I kind of like the older loopdeck but you can't get them anymore. There is the new one called MX creative. I keep seeing one called tour box..... I see that loopdeck has a new model but that's 500 buck and I'd go for it but who knows.... Do you use anything?. What do you think about it. On paper it looks like a life saver to me but you know how that is. Please advise. I don't want to make mistakes. I use adobe light room and premiere pro and some resolve but I hope to use more resolve soon someday soon. Mainly I use adobe premiere and light room. .

Hi!! This video is awesome. I’m planning to buy a 35mm for my BMPCC4K, is there any ND filters that you recommend that don’t create vignetting? I want to buy a small rig mate box, would that be ok? Thanks in advance!
@chinfat29 күн бұрын
Hey. Thanks for watching. It's not the filters that cause the vignetting as much as the matte box, where the filters can be held a bit too far away from the lens. I have been using the clip-on matte boxes lately which hold the filters super close to the lens. Here is the matte box I have been using. You just need to look up the diameter of your lens housing. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1613745-REG/tilta_mb_t12_m95_4x5_65_carbon_fiber_matte.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&store=420&lsft=BI%3A6879&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA6t-6BhA3EiwAltRFGBZYGZhWtC29W39ewbpKhAZG3l5uPWCJw6W9wQTpEnyt6gT2W9zvqhoCs3EQAvD_BwE

@ thank you for reply! Sadly that matte box is out of my budget, that’s why I’m doing my research in the small rig mini one. But thank you so much, I subscribe :)
@chinfat28 күн бұрын
Understood. If you are getting vignetting, maybe consider going with the screw on circular variable NDs. When I am using a wide-angle, like 10-16mm, I have to use the screw on filters. Way more affordable. Good luck!
@SamirJzVFX28 күн бұрын
@@chinfat hi! Im not getting vignetting, I haven purchased anything yet, but as a gift someone gave me a square lens 4” x 5,65” and that’s why I want a matte box (sorry if I didn’t give context before) for the sirui 35mm, but I want to know if that would cause vignetting.
@chinfat26 күн бұрын
@@SamirJzVFX Oh... got it. Those filters are usually larger than most lenses. They should not vignette at all, unless the matte box is too far away from the lens. Especially with a 35mm which isn't super wide. There are some decent Matte boxes on Amazon that work just fine and are very affordable.

I have a question about the intuitiv trimming (hitting k while preview is playing). I want to do it for the left clip, not for the right. Is that possible? I saw walter murch do it in a video.
@chinfatАй бұрын
Hey. Thanks for watching. I think you're talking about what Murch calls "Dynamic Trimming". That is achieved through the Trim Window (I need to update that video). Here is where you can see the edit changing and hit K to stop on the fly. It is at timecode about 10 minutes in. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXu5mZugo6xlns0si=PGWIoSZWtMqBAYzU&t=599
@batesminАй бұрын
@@chinfat Yes, but you can only go backwards (j) and then press k on the left clip. You can not press k and cut on the fly while watching the left clip forward. If you take a look at the walter murch video around min 20:50 and 22:50 he uses it while watching the preview forward. Very confusing
@batesminАй бұрын
Found it. It’s (I). So if you are in trimming jkl mode and you press space for preview you can press I and cut on the fly.
@chinfatАй бұрын
@@batesmin Yup . That's the one. L to play forward on the edit after you select for a roll or ripple edit. I remember being excited about this when they added the feature back in 2017 or 2018. If I remember properly, they did it because Murch requested it specifically.
