Why is she sewing over the pins how’d the needle not break it hit the pins like 2 times

If you put just a little spit on your finger tip and apply it to the back side of the needle hole, the spit will pull the thread through.

I was always told not to mess with the bobbin case tension.

Such a shame the handle was out of view.

Would this post work on a Singer 66? It is longer than the 99, and the 221 "Featherweight." the Singer 66 is essentially the "Big sister" of the 99.

My featherweight decal is missing the rivet gold screw. What could I use to replace it? The circular singer seal emblem is popping up on one side. Thanks for your help

Thanks much. This worked I was able to remove the small screw but then did the oil immersion trick. My patience is zero so I only waited about 30 minutes but it did loosen up and I was able to remove the piece of thread. I admit I did not remember about holding the threads or the wheel direction. BAD on me. I will try better in the meantime. But then I saw about the thread removal tool. I am a bit confused that the thread will "just disappear" without being removed if you use the tool. Can you clarify? thanks.

I’m trying to adjust my needle tension and I fiddled with the number dial, the part that pushes in and turns, and now the tension dial won’t turn even as far as 2 from 0. I’m afraid I’ve really messed up my tension unit. Any idea what I should do?

I'd love to get a Featherweight professionally painted in a cool color like bright blue, but I don't know where to find someone who does that. Love the decals, though!

I have my grandmothers featherweight, it still works, has it's cabinet, a little worse for wear, because my mom used it for 6 kids, but when I tried to sew on it as of late the stitching bunches up, so with this video maybe I can remedy that. It is a family heirloom that I want to leave to my daughter, so she can think about her great grandma, her grandma, and her mom sewing on it in the past.

Merci infiniment pour tout, dommage qu'il n'y a pas d'école et de cours en France, j'aime beaucoup cette machine, elle fait un beau point droit et elle fait un joli bruit.

Thanks! I fixed the nesting issue on my 221!

My mother-in-law was a fantastic seamstress. Me, I can’t sew (xcept zippers not sure why that is) I hate sewing therefore I don’t sew unless I have to. My mother-in-law gave me 2 featherweights one is a 221 the other a 221K. When I would try to sew something the bobbin thread kept getting jammed up. I finally decided to do something about it so I watched your video , followed it to a “t” and then some. I ended up taking the bottom off to get to the thread sure enough there was about a 3 inch piece of thread wound around the outer housing of the bobbin. So thank you I never could’ve done it without your instruction. I feel so good about fixing it that now I’m going to attempt to fix my old pellet ice maker. Wish me luck✌️😎
