The ratchets are junk

Needs improvement for the 2022 Alumacraft 175 Competitor. Rubbed the paint off on both sides from the middle tension straps when you've travel. The soft white cotton fabric on the lips of the cover needs to go all the way to transom as paint was damaged by edges rubbing when traveling. Customer service lady blew me off big time. I told her I would send her pictures but she said no need to and basically hung up. Also refused to take my contact info. Dowco isn't like a custom cover I always had made for my boats.

The heatshield lowers on my 2 year old cover rotted out this winter, while covering my bike, sitting under a carport. Rest of the cover like new. 4th time I bought Dowco, you'd think I'd learn my lesson by now. Never again.

When you just want to cover your boat for the night while it is in a slip you cannot tighten the ratchet strap on the side of the boat on the opposite side of the dock.
