I love the illuminations (especially the tableaux) and I love Blackpool. But must the teddy bears tableau not be close to the Harts Amusements? I feel like it should still advertise the Queens Mansions Holiday Flats in Bispham to celebrate 40 years.

Teardown is probably the worst time for these guys because they've gotta do 3 time consuming things back to back. 1) teardown 2) transport to next city 3) setup Not sure about other countries,but in the U.S. after the fair begins,the same crew (that done the things listed above) has to then work the ride for 8-10 hours then has to work another 6 hours elsewhere on the midway doing other necessary jobs like stocking concessions with ice,trash pickup,etc,so its a very long day for the employees in this line of work.The labor involved in the setup alone (depending on the size of the ride) looks quite labor intensive to me. At least some of the harder/more difficult to setup rides have things designed into the ride/trailer to aid in the heavy lifting.Small cranes/pulleys/winch/hydraulic cylinders are some examples.
@FunfairAndAmusementEMagazine2 ай бұрын
This is all hydraulic and winch so not so hard was down in a hour think the railings took more time to remove than the actual pull down but bonfires are one after another so would have to be built up ready for next day at another ground your right can be long days

Lovely to see the Skydiver still operating!!! It use to belong to my local showman Jonathan Gray, It's a Maxwell lifting paratrooper, Coasterpedia list it as a Bennet machine but it's not, trust me! I need to ride this at some point now I know where it is, I'm sure it use to go faster then that as well! Great footage :)

Weird, I can hear them having a conversation about the camera at the end before they told you to stop filming, can't make out what they were saying though. It was basically done apart from the legs so idk why he would want you to stop...
@FunfairAndAmusementEMagazine4 ай бұрын
I know but unfortunately that's the way it was think the guy was saying why are they filming but we did get permission beforehand was a bit gutted we didn't get it all but hey ho maybe next time

Don’t know what setting this ride is on but fuck me I’ve never seen this do such an intense cycle like that before, going full speed and arms lifting vertical at the same time. Done this extreme a few times and never seen it do a cycle like that
