Its.2023 Lent and I'm doing Lent where bfor I gave up something more simple than I am.now which was chocolate and this time round I decided to give up the extra sugar i intake day to day and gave up not all sugars just the extra sugars I dont need like fizzy sugary drinks,cakes,sweets,crisps and chocolate and I'm on day 8 and havnt given up yet even tho it's not easy to keep those things away from me and tempting at times but I'm trying to keep a strong will power and make it thru Lent!!!xxx 😌😌

You've got this! By God's faithfulness, I made this sacrifice the year before COVID started (I believe) and I think that I became a better person because of it. Not only did I learn to more wholly rely on God, but He also taught me to recognize the benefits of depending on Him to keep me from temptation. At the time, I was about 100 lbs over-weight. By the time I was finished, I had lost at least 30 lbs and had no temptation to eat junk food (including chips, sweets, or beverages with sweeteners, etc.). And I got through the entire season without eating or drinking those foods (although at first I hadn't told my family that I was giving that up for lent---I was embarrassed---so one of my family members force-fed me pie because they thought I was being picky when I refused it). Definitely tell your friends and family that you're doing this so that they don't force you into something like that! However by the end, I had no temptation to consume any of those types of food. Praise God! At the time, I was 13 and going into highschool. I lost 60 more pounds over the next year. But it all went downhill when I began focusing on what people wanted me to eat rather than what God wanted me to eat. And I followed what the world told me to eat. I felt bad not partaking in desserts at family dinners, so I ate; I didn't want my mom or grandma to worry about me losing weight, so I ate, etc. Since then, I've gained 50 pounds. Food and being unhealthy in general has been a big distraction from God for me, so during this Lent I'm giving up the same thing I did a few years ago. Please take my experience and learn from it. I know you can give up sweets if you do it for the purpose of glorifying God and being a good steward of your body, God's Temple. Just remember also that this is the beginning, not the end. God gives us trials so that we will learn from them. Count this as a trial, learn from it, and when Lent ends, continue to be a good steward; take care of your body because your body is God's temple. And NO MATTER WHAT, do not listen to the world when it tempts you to indulge, but use food for what God intended; to provide energy for daily life.

@rea_3293 жыл бұрын
I had this problem and people always told me “push your foot to the ground.” But that made me lose momentum. INSTEAD of doing that practice going from the first position to the second position on the bar about 10-20 times for about 5 days trust me you will see so much improvement and it can help get straighter legs!!

@@rea_329 Sadly.. im not trained meaning i dont have a bar. Since march of last year i have asked my parents can i dance but we just dont have the money. @@xii_keii I was 11 when I started with a la secondes and didn’t have a bar so I used a wall!!! Don’t ever give up on your dreams even if you don’t think you have what it takes.
@PAAWales3 жыл бұрын
If you don't have a barre, you could use a kitchen worktop or the back of a chair :) Most commonly, if you're travelling it's because you're jumping onto the ball of your foot rather than doing a strong rise. So practising on a 'barre' is a good way to get out of the habit. Also, make sure you have a good spot so your eyeline isn't moving :) Don't give up!! X

@PAAWales4 жыл бұрын
Keirzlovesugar practise it on the barre first so that you can get a good solid rise and second position. Really get that pulling up and lifting feeling and try to build that speed up on the barre. Also, try putting on some faster music and really try and stay on the beat. Let me know how you get on 😊

What do i do? I find it easier to turn left but my right leg is sooo much more flexible than my left leg Should i just improve my flexibility on my left leg or should i try to turn right?
@tarsile79854 жыл бұрын
Improve your left leg flexibility, try to get comfortable, Keep your hips down, make sure your arms follow your legs, ect. Improve your left leg, just some tips! Np
@PAAWales4 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I would try and do both. If you prefer turning left, you will always feel more comfortable that way so improving your left leg flexibility will help but the strength is the most important thing. You may be flexible enough to get your leg up, but you have to have the strength to hold it there. With turning right, most choreographers will set turn sequences that way in group dances as that's the way the majority of people prefer, so it's really important to work on your right turns as well :)

@PAAWales4 жыл бұрын
Namjoons lost passport most people prefer to turn on their left leg, so that the right leg is up and you are turning to the right. Most find it easier to turn right, but not everyone, some people find it easier to turn left. So, whichever way you find easier 😊
